CUBS WIN!!!
Nothing other than that… just…
CUBS WIN!!! CUBS WIN the NL Central Division!!
Next step… beating the Braves and then playing Dusty’s old team the Giants for the pennant!

Holy cow!
I see a Cubs - Sox Series in our future!
I really, really want to believe what I am saying
Much as I applaud the success of the Red Sox and the Cubs, this seems like something from the Book of Revelations stating that the end is most certainly nigh !!
OR maybe someone will start a Nostradamus Urban Legend “prediction”
“When the little bears from the city of the wind confront the Bean City Bambino curse…”
The good news: they still have to beat three teams, each in a series format, to win the World Series.
I’m sure the Devil isn’t shopping for space heaters just yet.
But, as it is a momentous occasion, congrats. May your October be long, fruitful, and cold as Hell will be if you win.
Pretty soon if I keep hearing this I’m going to have to dig up my post from 18 months ago about how the world would have to end if there was a Cubs/Red Sox Series. Just to be a jerk.
HEY HEY
It’s a beautiful day for a ball game. Ernie says, let’s play two! In the friendly confines.
Red=White
A. God has some answering to do. The Cubs make the playoffs, what, twice in twenty years? Way too much.
B. Now we have to see how they choke.
Right?
I mean, that would be way too much to take.
Astros lose.
am i the only one who sees this
first those power outages happening everywhere
now the cubs win
next the giant rabbit
than its…
Twenty-eight days… six hours… forty-two minutes… twelve seconds. That… is when the world… will end.
You know, it’s really not that unreasonable to allow the Cubs into the World Series once a century.
I like the cubbies chances…they have the better pitching staff than atlanta now, maybe the best in baseball, plus is smoltz back yet? Also the cubs have some good hitters in the line-up from late-season aquisitions…and Sammy is getting hot again…watch out!
Freakin Astros. 1.5 games ahead last week, and lose 6 of 8. I had tickets for next Saturday against the Braves, now I just have to forfeit my $3 convenience charge to TicketBastard. At least I don’t have to watch them get swept by the Braves (again).
Please allow me to brag for just a moment that I was at the two games yesterday. I’ve never gotten so teary eyed over a baseball game in my life. It was the most incredible, electric feeling there after we saw the Astros had lost, and then again when we won the second game. What a thrill!
Go Cubs!
If that happens, then I propose that World Series be called off and the Cubs and Red Sox be declared co-champions, just to pre-emptively shut up the mewling and moaning from the losing side.
So sayeth I in Cleveland, where we don’t want to hear anything about how “long suffering” anybody else is, pro-sports wise.
WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I had several glasses of champagne last night in celebration.
I can’t believe it. I’m seriously in shock.
Bloody Disastros. I was wearing their hat and everything!
Oh well. At least I still have my Spurs. Nobody can take that away!
Though I’m also a Texans fan. :dubioius:
Apparently, people can take away my coding sensibilities, though.
