The History of Hair

To make a long story short, the local newspaper assigned me an article about the history of the mullet (slang for funky hair). They want something quirky and humourous, presumably with made-up facts, that will have to, as usual, be very toned down before it sees publication. My sense of humour is like that, you see.

However, the last thing they’re expecting is a perfectly serious article with a vast collection of amazingly intricate details of hair trivia, something that will amuse me a great deal more than a hair “liography”.

Luckily, I have access to the greatest group of intellectuals on line. So… what tidbits can you guys provide me with? Anything that I can stick into a pretentious article would be great.

Thank you kindly in advance.

I wouldn’t call it funky, but all mullet discussion must begin here: http://www.mulletsgalore.com
