The Hobbit movie(s) anticipation thread

He has a definite Klingon-ish visage (dunno if that is intentional)-in any event he does look total badass.

Definitely Klingon-esque

I just can’t see these guys dancing around Bag End singing, “…break the plates, that’s what Bilbo Baggins hates.”

I really want to like these Dwarves, but I just don’t. They just look… wrong. I guess those in the animated TV movie The Hobbit were closer to my mental image. Hope these new guys are better up on the big screen.

I notice there’s a Radagast (I sorely missed him in the LOTR movies, for some reason, he’s one of my prefered characters).

At least we won’t have dwarves who are mere clowns (I really disliked the way Gimli was depicted in the movie as a “comic relief” character).

Where did you see that Radagast will appear?

Sylvester McCoy has been announced as Radagast

(He’s also in the 2nd production video)

Did we not comment on that yet? Yeah, it’s good casting as well.

Yup…Gowron’s the first character I thought of when I saw the photo of Armitage in costume and makeup.

Production Diary #3:

Brian

Ooh, high detailed video of the Dwarfs. Excellent.

Plus a cameo, or two, from other cast members, new and old.

Yes! The dwarves look a lot better in this than in the publicity stills. And that appearance at the end…

That was fantastic. The dwarves look amazing in motion. And Peter Jackson is adorable and hilarious.

Also, not gonna spoil it, but watch 'til the end.

Oh yeah! That was awesome!

Surely this has been mentioned. But I hadn’t fully realized that James Nesbitt was playing a dwarf!

One more reason to see the thing…

Extremely cool! And yes, PJ is putting weight back on. Aren’t we all.

PJ has released a composite show of the dwarves. Too many bad ones were floating around the internet.

Oh, I did like that cameo! I’m wondering if he’s in the movie (yes, his character isn’t in The Hobbit, but then neither is Galadriel)…if not, he’s a pretty good sport to get into makeup and wardrobe for a five-second appearance.

He is, I think. Besides, I have a feeling that PJ is in England to ease the filming for Christopher Lee. Perhaps the old man doesn’t want to fly to New Zealand this time.

Now that I think of it, I seem to remember the possibility of the White Council being in the film(s). So that makes perfect sense.
