Three wins and no losses and they trounced the mighty Penguins last night. Amazing.
But there’s no way they are going to win the Grail.
The Flames torched the Red Wings in Detroit. The Red Wings haven’t lost a game in their building since last December so that had to hurt.
Some of the Red Wing players (like Shanahan and Hull) are whining about the officiating but as I didn’t see the game I can’t comment on whether or not people were taking dives. Maybe someone can fill me in on this?
Well, on to tonight. We’ve invited the Avalanche to stop by and play a little game of hockey. I’ve got the day off so I’ll be forced to choose between watching the Edmonton - Colorado tilt or Survivor 3.

Yes, I am a Blackhawks fan. I soared to the heights of optimism on opening night as we showed our best. Then was plunged to the depths of despair as the Flames and Oilers kicked our everlovin’ asses.
I still root for the Hawks. I will until the end of time. Thibeault is a good kid, although I ocassionally call him Joyce. I wish we hadn’t traded Herperger.
And everytime I turn on a Blues game this season (that’s twice - god bless Direct T.V. NHL Center Ice) Doug Weight is in the box.
Which leads me to say: I wouldn’t mind putting him in my penalty box…for roughing. And that’s the last vaguely sexual comment I’ll make

How the mighty have fallen w/o Jagr or Lemieux. The real question is whether Hedberg can stand up to the pressure after his incredible performance in playoffs.
I’ll take a crack at it. It’ll be hard fought but I think the Leafs have the personnel to beat Irbe to come out on top. Let’s see another couple of points for Mogilny. I fear for our leaky defence tho’.

I think it’s a little early to start screaming about who’s #1… anyone paying attention would see that right now Calgary is in that position with 7 points in 4 games. The space aliens must have visited Calgary too.
I’m looking at tonights matchup between Edmonton and Colorado:
Salo has a 1.0 GAA whereas Roy has a 2.5 GAA. Colorado’s offense has put up 4 goals a game so Salo should be tested tonight. If Roy doesn’t tighten up his game the Oilers are going to bury the Av’s. This promises to be a great game.
I have to pick the Habs over the Bluejackets tomorrow, the only people who might do otherwise would have to be Columbus fans. The Habs offense has been superb throught their first three games and Savage is on a tear. I’ll go out on a limb and say the score will be 5-1 for the Habs.
That’s not going out on the limb. That’s taking leave of your senses. Sheesh. You won’t have anything left for the models if you keep sniffing that glue, Feynn.
