There are extensive records and documentation of the Holocaust, from survivors of the camps, Allied soldiers as well as the Nazis themselves. I suggest you go research them.

Here at the Straight Dope, we may have our differences, our animosities, our ideological divergences that sometimes lead to quarrels and anger, especially in election season. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that ultimately, we all share the same core mission: fighting ignorance.
But then when somebody shows up with some truly spectacular, utterly indefensible ignorance to fight, Dopers of all ideological stripes are on it like piranhas on a drowning buffalo. How did they get others to go along with it? Others from all walks of life and numerous nationalities (not to mention numerous governments) and religious backgrounds. Not just a few but thousands, tens of thousands. Indeed count Germany as a whole make that several tens of millions of people.
If you (the OP) really think someone can pull off a hoax of this caliber when the “obvious” evidence goes against it you should be HUGELY afraid! Some few capable of perpetrating such a global hoax and keep it going for 60+ years are powerful beyond imagination in the history of the world.
