The "Home" button

I just downloaded and installed Netscape 6. So far, I’m marginally o.k. with it. I don’t notice any extra speed one way or the other. However, the one thing I can’t seem to fix is that there is no HOME button in the bar that says back, forward, reload and stop.

Is there anyway to get a button there that says “home”?

I don’t have a button at the top with forward, back, reload, but below the buttons there are a set of icons in the toolbar, one of which is “home” (second from the left). If you don’t have it, go to Edit->Preferences and at the bottom right you can select the buttons to appear in the toolbar.

Now if I can just figure out why it tell me I have three new messages in my inbox when THERE’S NOTHING IN THERE!!!

You don’t have to use their browser. It’s kind of a screen hog.

My mother has AOL and just brings up Internet Explorer and ignores all the AOL stuff.

I like IE but I have downloaded N6 TWICE for my roommate BOTH times email functions have been f’d up. Finally went back to 4.7 with no problems.

Each time was a VERY clean install.

I hate the new Netscape. It’s actually driven me to use (ick) MSIE just because of the more traditional interface.

Maybe you are hiding your Icon bar with those icons on it? On the left side is a little arrow that makes it come down. IM petty sure its part of Net 6.0 too although I don’t remember when I used it.

Try using alt+H (or possibly alt+HOME) instead. Go to View -> Toolbars -> Customize and you can add & remove the buttons you want.

well in Net 6 if you go into options you can change it from the “modern” look it installs in to “Traditional” that looks just like v4.7

I use both Netscape & IE. Sometimes both at the same time, there is no law saying you can’t do that.
