The hot and soggy MMP

I went for a walk in the forest by myself because I couldn’t find my class.

I don’t know what a Sharknado is. I saw someone mention it on Facebook and I assumed it was a word she’d made up. Apparently not.

I think I’ll stay home for the rest of the day and watch videos I’ve lined up on YouTube, and work on some music.

{{everyone what needs one}}

Just found out my allotment empire will be doubling shortly- crazy neighbour lady has quit! It’s a bit late to grow much on it this year, as it’s basically turning back into woodland, but it’s nice and sheltered, so hopefully I can keep beeeees there next year, and maybe get a cheap polytunnel too to grow all sorts of exciting stuff!

SHARKNADO is about a tornado that sucks up sharks and dumps them on Los Angeles where they wreak havoc. Yeah, ya gotta suspend disbelief just a wee bit.

Rain has stopped, for now. **FCD **has decided he’s going to FL tomorrow, so I’ve got to do some laundry today. That’s my exciting afternoon.

*ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK!!! * I just pulled a tick off my back!!
ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK!!! ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK!!! ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK!!!

Are you going to eat that?

Was thinking about all you aquariasts today as we snorkeled Coral Gardens. I’ve never seen do many parrot fish before; dark green, blue and with a touch of yellow near their tail. There were various wrasse, squirrel fish, angels, damsels, tangs, racoon fish and a whole bunch I just couldn’t name. I was hovering over some particularly beautiful purple fans watching a lionfish when slowly a barracuda positioned itself about 4 feet beneath me. We studied each other for several minutes until my daughter could swim up and get some pics. There are more turtles here too than we expected. I’ll do some pics later when not on a cell phone.

Kinda makes me want to get some big salt tanks again. I’d come in during college after a night of beer ingestion and sit transfixed for an hour watching my angels, anemones, clown perculas, etc. Good times.

When I was in the Navy in San Diego, a friend of mine had a fresh water tank. I remember lying on the floor with my head near the tank looking up and watching the fishies swim. If I recall, a certain amount of alcohol was involved… But they are hypnotic.

Howdy from da cave! I finished up the mound of paperirk around threeish and then decided to get the heck outta there. So, here I am. YAY! Dindin shall be pizza. I offered to go get it but OYKW said he’d stop, pick it up and pay for it if’n I ordered it online. I suppose I’ll have to go through the three minute ordeal of orderin’ a pizza then. See, life is hard!

Dammit, I want pizza! But we’re having meatloaf. Pizza for tomorrow, I guess…

The plan post-work was to go get a mani/pedi (as a reward for not getting stabby this week), then go shopping for curtains because I have to have something to hang on the ridiculously expensive curtain rods I bought last week. But after a bout of … we’ll call it “intestinal distress” this afternoon, I might just go home and curl up on the couch. And then order pizza, because dammit, swampy!

I guess I’d better get working on supper. Pizza would have been so much easier…

Home from house hunting.

It was … disappointing.
Pictures lie, realtors lie.

I got to see 5 of the 7 I wanted to see.

The first one was outside of Hagerstown and it was a long winding country road, beautiful views of the mountains
and the damn house turned out to be a trailer, not only just a trailer but two single wides connected together to make a double wide.
Beautiful lot, nice garage, almost an acre and there is no way the bank would approve it.

The second one was nice, probably the nicest one inside. The only issue would be that you have to walk through two of the bedrooms (one of which could be barely called a bedroom) to get to the bathroom.
The downside? We got there in the middle of a work day and couldn’t find a place to park. The garage? was a joke. It’s just a big rundown shed with double doors that you lock with a padlock.

The third one was beautiful inside. All redone, granite counter tops, pocket doors, beautiful bathroom and an extra added on room across the back of the second floor. Lots of charm.
Once again NO parking and even worse almost no yard to speak off as well as a long flight of steps to get to the back yard. To take Sah-dog out I would have to walk him out the front door and around to the back postage stamp size yard. No front yard at all.

The fifth one was a wreck, single family home on a nice lot. It smelled so bad I was almost throwing up. It has potential but it would take too much to fix it up.

The fourth one I am debating. It’s a little further outside of town. A duplex on a mixed street of single homes and duplexes. Nice back yard and plenty of parking on the street as well as two spaces behind the house. The kitchen is ugly as hell but nothing a little paint couldn’t fix. It’s very small and I look at it and think could I make it work? No attic, unfinished basement. The one redeeming quality was that the tiniest bedroom was made into a walk in closet.

I’m tired and have some thinking to do.

Why are B K Whoppers so good?

Baby pics, she is growing so fast!
Happy Girl
Silly Girl
Clean Girl

No, you don’t. I remember this old documentary on the cleverest species of them all.

I had a spirit-ual night last night…

…Vodka spirits, beer spirits, some more vodka spirits, but sadly, no rum spirits (Local Bar 1 didn’t have any mint & LB2 closed early) :frowning:
With all those spirits mebbe it was a “cheerleader night”

Went to a different gym today to take a class with someone. After class I go into the shower room (10 individual stalls). The first one I choose has no soap, so I move further down toan open one that has soap. Ima warshin’ away when I notice a little gnat-sized buggie high up on the wall,
then I notice another,
& another,
& another,
&… (I stopped counting at 25)!
Ya know that etiquette that says you get dried in the shower & wrap the towel around you for the walk back to the lockers; I didn’t follow that today. I grabbed my towel & scampered mainly because I am Spiderman & not a spider; didn’t need any extra protein, thankyouverymuch.
The girl at the front desk made a gorgeous skwick face after I told her about 'em on my way out.

Was is as epically wonderful as Megashark vs Crocosaurus? Because that was one of the pinnacles of awesomely bad movies. Jahleel White (Urkel) is the hero. Also, the IMDB synopsis is wrong. It was the Navy that took down the combatants, not the Army. :smack: Bless.

Apes, d’aaaaaaaaaaw.

**sari **- bummer about the houses - are you going to be checking out any others?

**Apes **- you know they’re that adorable so you don’t sell them to any passing circuses…

I’m gonna go assume the position for as long as I can. It’s been a long day and I’s tahred. I’m working on an afghan of squares, so at least I can work on little pieces at a time. It’s a relief after finishing a fairly big afghan a couple of days ago.

Anyway, see ya tomorrow!

MWAH!!

Not to be out done by the Bear, I took an hour of vacation and came home early.
Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) mentioned that she was going to clean the 20 long. Soon she asked, “So what do you want to do?”
“I want to sit on my ass and have a drink. Then I can have another while we clean the tank.”
I am working on that now.

because they’re bad for you

squeeeee! Okay, when is graduation? [g,d,&r]

FCM I wish I had had access to the internet while I was out there. Another one came on the market in my price range and I want to go see it. I think on Sunday we will go back out.

I have a very limited price range that I qualify for, a $5000 range.
I can’t go lower because of the minimum amount of the mortgage and I can’t go higher because I don’t have enough cash for 20% down.
It also has to be move in ready, the broker told me no rehabs and no condos.

I keep thinking about the one that has been fixed up so nicely and the pocket doors and hardwood floors, very Victorian. Then I think about no parking and a yard I would probably never use.
