Pizza has been ingested and I made a batch of cheese thingies to take tomorrow because JDD’s mom lurves my cheese thingies and it’s her bday celebration. Also have my outdoor cooker sittin’ out in the garage along with a propane tank to take up there tomorrow. It’ll be a N.O.L.time thing so we’ll be back at da cave by late afternoon which is fine by me.

**FCD **is on his way. I asked him to call me as he crossed each state line, so about half an hour after he left, he called me from Virginia… :rolleyes: Yes, I’m married to a comedian. Barring traffic or weather issues, he should get to his folks’ place by 7-ish this evening. This means I’m home alone without adult supervision, probably till Thursday or Firday. Naturally, I will run amok, doing such crazy things as spot-cleaning the carpets, running a few loads of laundry, and perhaps buying peaches and making jam!!! :eek:
The house is open because it’s amazingly cool this morning - mid-60s!! It won’t last, but I’ll enjoy it while I can. Major heat wave is about to move into the area by the middle of the week. ick. I figure I’ll be closing the windows again long before noon.
When it finally dries out, I’ve got mowing to do. The ditch looks like a short jungle. And when the sun and warmth hits, I expect the weeds and grass to double in height and density. Maybe I should get a loaner goat…
Meanwhile, time to caffeinate.
