The hot and soggy MMP

Happy Saturday!

It’s 71 degrees and cloudy in Hagerstown, I don’t know what it is here because my phone switched itself to Hagerstown information and all attempts to change it back to hometown aren’t working.
I guess my phone decided to move without me or is waiting for me to catch up.

I got lots of sleep and feel a whole lot better.
One should not look at houses on 5 hours sleep and an empty stomach.
By the time I got to the last two I was shaking.
Now I have a much clearer perspective on it.

I want to see 2 more and go back and look at the fourth one again and get this ball rolling.

I keep having dreams about OAOASO. I seldom had dreams with him in them, now it’s almost every night.

I need to gt up and get moving.
I didn’t irk at all yesterday so I have to irk lots today to make up for it.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 71 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of ONLY 82 for the day. Might have to pull out my longjohns!

So, this is the day of the birthday fish fry. I’ve made a checklist of what I need to take up to JDD’s mom’s place. I feel so growedup and organized!

sari when I travel over to what I call the west forty my phone will change to central time bein’ as it’s on the border with Alabammy. Once I lived in central time for three days accordin’ to my phone. No amount of refreshin’ it would change that fact until one day it just decided to be in eastern time again. Good thing I don’t use it as a way to tell time real often.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, I must purtify, get OYKW up and on the ball (he’s still abed the slacker!), load up twuck and head up to large and in charge Parrott, Jawja. Hope all the splendor and glitz doesn’t go to my haid!

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

I am just back from a walk to the garage to collect my car - I came home early to pick it up yesterday but it wasn’t ready so I had two hours off work for nothing. Not that I was bothered, came home and opened the windows in the house, did half an hour on the Wii and had a nice cool bath afterwards. Leftover chllli for dinner, and a nice relaxing evening watching a very silly film.

So now I have the car back but the bank account is empty. I’m off to do errands in town next, possibly meeting a friend for coffee if we’re around at the same time, she has some stuff to do this morning elsewhere and said she’d be in town later to collect her contact lenses so she’ll text me later and we’ll see if we can meet up or not.

I’m planning another quiet evening tonight, not sure what I’m making for dinner yet, I’ll see what exciting stuff the butcher has got. Tomorrow I’m off to see the doting parent, which will involve grocery shopping and the purchase of large quantities of compost from the garden centre. I’m sure she’ll have a list ready for me when I get there but she’s already mentioned the compost!

The poor cats are both flaked out on the floor looking exhausted, not that I was aware of them actually doing anything to wear themselves out, but they’re cats so who knows what they’ve been up to? I need to vacuum the floors but it’s too hot for that and it means Ophie will have to go outside as she doesn’t like the sound of the Dyson.

Did I mention it’s hot outside?

Showered, dressed, and presentable. I’m going to run a few errands before it heats up.

How much space is in the freezer and how much ice cream can I eat before **FCD **comes home???

Blurf.

T’was too hot to sleep last night, so I’s tired.
Going to play with beeees again this afternoon, if I get around to getting properly dressed in time- one cannot decently bee wrangle in a dressing gown. It just isn’t done. I did make bananana cakes already though, as they don’t care what you’re wearing.

I think I shall be attending yon public house this evening. I haven’t been out in a while. Happy sattiday all!

It’s supposed to be 85 Murrkin degrees today, so I’m getting out there to garden right now!

I believe that as a good Spouse, it is your duty to free up as much freezer space as possible.

Caffeinating with Dr Pepper. Please don’t tell anyone.

I’ve made my morning visits to Gmail, Facebook, and Mayor Nenshi’s Twitter feed. I’ll be going downtown later today. I didn’t heed the advice of the Dopers, and I am actually going to be lending my bass clarinet to a friend today. The instrument is insured, so I think it’ll be okay. I’m thinking of it as sending my bass clarinet away on vacation.

I hope to work on writing some music today. For a friend’s birthday. Well, her birthday’s already passed, but I’m sure she won’t mind getting it a little late.

Mooom, save me some 'scream.*

*ice cream

You are the most British person I ever met.

Where’s Swampy?

:dubious:

Back from erranding, and I forgot one item I wanted because I didn’t put it on my list. On the other hand, my list had 3 items and I came back with 8 bags plus a box of kitteh litter. I did get some peaches and I looked up the best way to ripen them…

**FCD **called a little after 9 from North Carolina. He said traffic is horrible on I-95. I hope it loosens up as he heads down the road or he’ll be having a looooooooong day. At least he decided not to make the trip on his bike.

hic Gee, why have I got hiccups. I swear, I’m not drunk.

I’m in the process of eating lunch.

Took a trip to Ikea this morning for better curtain rods–and I got an entire curtain-hanging set, curtains for two rooms, all new bathroom towels, a shower curtain and liner, and some ice-pop molds for a hundred bucks less than I paid for just curtain rods last weekend. I’ll be returning those, methinks.

Now I am eating my surprisingly satisfying lunch salad, and then I’m off to hang up some curtains. At some later time, there will be napping.

I think I’m going to get my sewing machine out. I may even do something with it.

Or I could take a nap…

I came home from irk at 10 this morning. I’ve got a sore throat that won’t quit. After a two hour nap, my throat is still sore but I feel slightly better. At least I don’t have to listen to the Ferret natter on endlessly.

My MiL’s funeral was very nice. More people than I expected showed up, so that was nice. The flowers were lovely, as were the service and committal to the grave. It wasn’t completely somber, as we allowed people to share stories or memories and they were all happy and funny.

I think Mom would have been very pleased. We had her favorite songs played, and set up some pictures on a boards that expressed how family-oriented she was.

Everyone told us it was done beautifully and perfectly, so we feel good knowing she had a good send off.

Now, it’s time to concentrate on all the legal stuff. It’s overwhelming and it’s going to be a long haul. Oh well. It has to be done.

For today, at least, I think we’ll just take it easy. It’s been an exhausting 8 days, and I’m tired. My household chores have been pretty much neglected and I need to get going on those.

Now that I’ve been up and drinking coffee for several hours, I need to get going.

**{{{Taters}}} **- no need to rush the household chores - they’ll hold till you get to them. Take your time as you ease into your new “normal” and come here to vent as necessary.

*Someone *took the exacto knife to Florida, so I had to cut out my 2 new stencils with scissors. I’m good - it worked great!

Flytrap, please send your picture to Arnold Winkelreid to help your fellow mumpers by scaring their hiccups away! :stuck_out_tongue:
In other news, today is Flying Tastykake Day[sup]TM[/sup] I can’t wait!

Glad things went so well, Taters. Hang in there.

It was quite warm, but I got lots done.

Am considering Dairy Queen, followed by irk. And possibly laundry.

Wild, I know.

Hugs all.
