The hot and soggy MMP

Went out in the heat this morning. I went to a local store to look for some new clothes, but they were all made in a country where I’m aware that the working conditions for the garment factory workers are terrible. I spent a while debating whether to buy the clothes anyway, as I wouldn’t be able to afford more ethical clothes at other stores, or to not buy the clothes. I ended up not buying them. Instead, I bought some thread so I can repair the clothes I already have that have holes in them.

I’m so tired, and it’s only quarter after noon.

Only Marie’s court & prison guards get to fling T-kakes. The rabble gets to catch & eat them. Of course they need to complain about not having any bread first; then the utterance of her famous line starts the launching.
Do you want to be a prison guard or part of the queen’s henchwomen?
I was up & out verrrry early; ended up doing a ½, including The Color Run
I either need caffeine or a nap.

Howdy Y’all! Homr from deheathenization. The Baptism was nice. Can’t believe how good those two cute twin girls were. Not a peep out of 'em while YP poured water over their haids three times each.*

OYKW hs gone to pick up Chinese. I’m gettin’ a beef stirfry thingy and he ‘s swipin’ the General’s N.O.L. I’m in the mood for some beef today. Then I foresee nappage.

I’ve got my priority list for the next 2 weeks of dock monitoring. The way it works, I check to see who’s out crabbing, then check to see if they’re on my list for that day and how high on the list they are. I try to do as many in a day as I can, altho because of location and timing, it’ll be almost impossible to do 3 a day. With luck, I’ll get 1 or 2. And if no one goes out crabbing, I get paid a minimal amount just for checking in during the morning. Anyway, as soon as the guy I’m replacing calls to arrange a transfer of the tablet, I’ll be all set.

Quiet, boring day here… Chinese sounds good, but I hate going out to eat alone. Oh well…

still blurf

 You’re buying a house pretending to be me? Or are you me? Who’m I then?

Whoever I am, I am mellltiiing. I decided to go do some gardnin’ stuff, but it’s too hot for the English out there, so I didn’t do the stuff I was going to do, and now I’m just trying to work out if a bucket of ice cream would be an acceptable nutritious dinner.

You have company coming?

Well, it is dairy, and if you get some that has fruit and nuts in it, you’ve got those going for you.

This is true.

They are steep and run almost right into a stone wall.

I just can’t think straight.

I know the agent will be ready to kill me.

I found another house in the area out in the country with the mountain views, but this listing was honest and admitted it is a trailer.

I need to get some food and get up and moving around.

Yeah, we invited Beijing for N.O.L. :stuck_out_tongue:

Broccoli beef was ingested followed by a nappy poo. Now undies are bein’ laundered. I’m livin’ the life!

Had to call my boss (I think he’s my boss) to let him know I still haven’t heard from the guy who’s supposed to be getting the tablet to me. I really don’t want to be going out in the evening - I was hoping to have this done around lunch time. Anyway, waiting on a call back…

And I’ve got to figure something out for supper. I hate cooking for one and I really don’t want a sammich again. I’ve got hot dogs in the freezer and a can of beans - I can cook 'em up and serve 'em over pasta - beenie weenie fettuccine!

Or a bowl of cereal… whatever.

We are going to grill fajitas again, with sirloin this time.
It does look as though it will rain; I’ll trade eating pasta and alfredo-on-sale for rain anyday!

MOOOOOOM you must post the recipe so GT can add it to the blog. :stuck_out_tongue:

Not a good time to spend money.

Now you are telling Mom what to do, already? :dubious:

I had hot dogs and beans yesterday for lunch.
I’m hungry now but I am waiting to go out at 6 to feed the doggies.
I’ve eaten up just about everything in the house so whether or not he likes it I am dragging Sah-son out tomorrow to go grocery shopping.

I’m starting to worry about him, this sleeping all day, up all night, not wanting to do anything has got to stop.
I wonder if he is depressed or something.

I love my butterfly bush, I am going to miss it when I’m gone.
Maybe I’ll take it with me. I might take the lavender too.
And the pampas grass, my mother hates the pampas so she’ll probably dig it up and throw it away after I am gone.

Nope it’s not.

I guess what it comes down to is I really don’t like the house I saw yesterday.
I like the outside and I like the yard but I don’t like the house.

I’m trying to separate my feelings from it and be practical but a lot of what I didn’t like was the way she had it decorated. She had so much of the Early American type stuff which is okay except there was sooooo much. She had the little borders up by the ceiling and little borders at the height of the chair rail and every square inch of space was filled up.
And I can still smell the incense, and I like incense, but not that much incense. I wonder what smell she was trying to cover up, but she dies have a cat so maybe that.
I don’t know what happened to realtors telling people to put stuff away and all that. Although the family stuff doesn’t bother me, I think family photos make it look homier. The clutter makes me ick.

I try to picture my stuff in there and I can’t. I don’t even know where I’d put my roll top desk. Or even my TV.
I try to picture myself in there and I can’t.

Which is dumb because some of the other houses I liked were smaller and I could see myself in them just fine.
Maybe it is just the cutter that is turning me off on the house.

NOT a call for help.

**sari **- looking past someone else’s decorating can be a challenge, but unless you’re buying the place fully furnished, the seller’s crap will be gone. One house we bought was owned by a hunter. It was full of stuffed animals, fowl, and fish - yoiks!! We were able to look past all that and we got ourselves a great house at a good price.

And one house we bought reeked of potpourri - the man of the house smoked cigars (all the ceilings were stained from smoke) and it took a while to get the smell out. Apart from a good cleaning and painting, replacing the carpeting took just about all of the stink away. A good carpet-cleaning may have accomplished the same thing, but we wanted new…

Just got a call - my tablet is on its way. Yay!! The kid is bringing it over, so I don’t have to go meet him anywhere. Double yay!!

And I decided to have some pierogi for supper. It was yum. Crisis averted.

**lieu **- if not a cry for help, is it a declaration of SMRT??

Yes, when search planes see that on remote islands, they stop by for engine overhauls.
