Swampy remembering that goes way way back to my sophomore year of HS. I’m surprised I remember that much.

I don’t know which I find more appallin’, the insinuation that I’m gay (WHAT???!!! I’M GAY???) or pseudo beef-a-roni. What’s the pseudo part, the beef or the roni?
One supposes pseudo beef might be tofu as tofu is often a “meat substitute” so I’m given to believe. Pseudo roni still alludes and possibly horrifies me.
Yes **Swampy ** it’s mortgage news but I am scared to believe it. I asked him a million times are you sure, you know my income was low in 2011, you know I get a 1099 (that meant a recalculation because it means no FHA loans) but still good news.
This is the first company that gave me a pre approval and then said oh wait a minute you still have to qualify for real and now I have qualified for real but I have a very narrow window of options and it’s pretty much going to take every penny I have. I was hoping to hang onto some of my cash.
So I will be house hunting again this weekend and hopefully put in an offer.
I’m feeling the cool. Its only 100F with 22% humidity today. The other day it was 111F and hot! That works out to 43.8C for all of the rest of the world outside of the US.
So after I work outside all morning, by 1PM I’m ready to get into the pool under the umbrella and read a bit of Donald Westlake. Good reading for when the brain is overheated. Too bad I forgot to buy beer.
And in amusing news, my wife asked me if I wanted to cook tonight or take her out to eat…
EmilyG, if you want a light movie, go see The Heat with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. My wife and I hurt ourselves laughing, and my friends all have liked it.
Our hot water isn’t working. I had to suffer through a cold shower which I kind of cheated. It has broken twice or three times before too. But we were able to fix it by shutting it off and then on. This time that didn’t work. Fortunately my dad called someone so they will be coming tomorrow. But don’t you just hate that? When suddenly a basic feature of your house malfunctions?
Who?, sometimes I can fix my camera in a similar way. Sometimes parts of it get stuck out, and I can fix that by taking the battery out and putting it back in again. This also tricks the camera into thinking the battery life is extended a bit.
The pseudo part is that I mixed sketty sauce with elbow mac then put provolone on top and stuck it under the broiler. No tofu, no funky pasta, no weird ingredients.
I’m doing this post on a tablet - it’s way too slow! !
