The hot and soggy MMP

They do, but gotta have something for they tailgate.

It was like a jungle today at work. It was warm and often rainy outside, and warm and damp inside. And there were a lot of little kids around, making a lot of noise.

One of my coworkers came back from vacation on Monday. He brought lots of candy today.

I got a ticket in the mail today! It’s to see two performers from “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” here in Montreal. Yay!

kai, I am so sorry you have to deal with this. I really do empathize.

Hugs to you and know that I am thinking of you.

kai Empathy, Best wishes for patience & Hope for you that this will work out somewhere close to normal. Hang In There…

I’m late to the party, but I went to AC last Friday & saw Jackson Browne! (A Truly Awe Inspiring Show. I can Honestly say He had Fun and It Showed. It made the show.) I called out ‘Shape of a Heart’ and… He Played It!!!
Sara Watkins opened & she rocked too (she looks like she’s in her 20s on stage, but at the T-shirt stand you realize she’s like maybe 16…! Wow… talent, early on… go girl!)

I can’t very well thank them though… at least not anywhere else but here. Sure hope they read us. (wouldn’t it be funny if we ever made them smile the way they make us smile??? )

Found out my brother’s wife may be leaving him. Kills me, because they were the “meant to be” couple, I always thought. They’re like the Keanu Reeves / Elizabeth Shue romance movie that you can’t see on HBO.
Work it out guys, huh? You have 3 beautiful super-cool daughters. Don’t screw their lives over. You owe them better than that…

What he said.

I had a little story to tell but it’s honestly trivial by comparison.

We saw this tour twice. Once in Cleveland and just last week or so in Columbus. It was lovely. I really liked the song Tokyo Girl by Val McCallum. And Sara Watkins was pretty cool, too, although I think she’s probably in her twenties. Nope, just googled her, she’s 32!

I know it’s a big list but this is I hope the last place I will live.

I feel like I am being picky but it is a big purchase.

I sat down tonight and made up a comparison check list of the 7 houses I am going to look at.
Of course I will walk into one of them and say this is it and the list will go out the window.

I’m off to bed. I didn’t get enough sleep last night and I’ve been dragging all day.

Lots and lots of hugs for kai. It’s horrible that you have to go through that.

We had pretty bad storms here today. One of my friends has 1/2 a tree in her driveway because of them. A bunch of people wound up standing at windows at work, watching the storms move through. We’re on 21st floor, so we have a good view. We could see the line of storms really clearly as it moved NW of downtown and then were just surrounded by rain as it moved through downtown.

Hope tomorrow is better for everyone!

Hugs all.

GT

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out and muggy, with a predicted high of 87 and, yet again, an 80% chance of rain/tstorm/apocalypse. Sigh. The weather PTB say after today we get a chance to dry out for a few days. It must eventually. Maybe tomorrow evenin’ I can mow da yahd though at this point it will be more like balin’ hay than mowin’.

Irk shall be busy, busy, busy today. Meetin’s with potential host agencies this mornin’ and afternoon plus a ton o’ due paperirk that I must somehow get finished up. Tomorrow is a no appointments, no runnin’ around day as I must get things done in the orifice. Sometimes that’s just gotta be, ya know?

Ok, I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy says “feed me!” Then, alas, irk purtiifcation must commence.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Blurf.

My givadammer is nonexistent today.

Colin Mochre and Ryan Stiles?

I am already not having a good day. Emotionally dead would be a good way to describe it. I need to get outside if the dayball ever sticks around for more than five minutes (or all day while I’m at work stuck inside and then disappearing as soon as I get off work).

I have this nagging feeling something may be wrong with baby girl’s hearing. I know if there is, then we will just deal with it, but it worries me.

VunderKind had a chronic ear infection and it was obvious at 8 weeks. We did tubes for a couple of years, and at 25, the Rugrat has better hearing than my dogs.

She fortunately doesn’t have an infection, but when I make loud noises or somebody like her siblings or my dad’s barking dog goes screaming through the house she barely even blinks. It worries me because she doesn’t seem to react to sound like most people
On a side note, she slept 6 hours last night! Yay!

I did my first check-in as a trainee crab monitor. According to the list, none of the crabbers in my region are going out today. So if I was working, I’d have the day off! Except I’m supposed to keep checking till about 10. Someone might decide to get a late start, altho with t-storms predicted, they might have wimped out.

I left a sprinkler/soaker on all night. grrrrrrr. At least my new garden got a good deep drink. And it probably guarantees a t-storm or 2 today.

We’re supposed to get more training today. **FCD **is leaving Sunday to go see his folks. Other than that, just a boring day in FairyChatEstates!

Happy Thursday!!

One crabber on our list has popped up - she’s due in at 1. So we’ve got something to do after all!

Blurf.

Hope she’s just a mellow kid, Apes.

swampy, it’s raining every day here. One of the mushrooms is having a party in front of the apartment. He’s a real fungi.

That joke is so old it’s moldy.

It is the last of our graduation ceremonies today so by this afternoon the campus will be peaceful and quiet again, the hordes of adoring parents will have gone home and the guys will be busy taking down all the marquees that have been blocking all the usual shortcuts around the main parts of campus.

Soon it will be safe to venture out again! It’s my friend’s birthday today so we are off out tonight for dinner and cocktails at our favourite South American restaurant. They do half-price cocktails until 7.30pm, and apparently it’s also National Mojito Day. Well, it would be rude not to, wouldn’t it?

Morning all,

If something goes BOOM in Yorktown, VA later today, it wasn’t me, I didn’t touch nothin’.

The Bell Tower has a loft with a spiral staircase. In fact, we have two spiral staircases, and my bedroom is at the top of one. You get used to it, but I recently built a bunch of Ikea furniture in my room, and I seriously doubt there’s going to be any way to get it back downstairs.
