Saltines? Yuck, Club crackers or ritz at a minimum. I think the last time I ate anything remotely like a saltine was the unsalted broken up ones at communion, and even that was ages ago.
In soup? Never. All I do, if anything, with soup is dunk bread in it, no crackers.
Does he employ a PA? If so, the obvious work-around would involve the personal assistant quartering the cracker sandwich using a sharp knife or cleaver.
I prefer the term Caucasian-American, thank you very much.
(I can’t believe no one else came back with this!)
Campbell’s Chicken Noodle soup and a big handful of crushed saltines is also my favorite comfort/sick day food.
My mother always buttered her saltines. I don’t as often as I used to. My husband thinks it’s weird, but it’s delicious.

When I looked up spirulina I realized I had looked at it before as Andrew Zimmern had tried this superfood on the show.
The crackers come 3 to a foil pack and are very tasty. No substitute for the simple Premium, but nice by themselves.

Oooo, that sounds good. We have a major international grocery store here and also specific ones for Middle Eastern, Indian, and Japanese groceries. Might have to start making the rounds. The saltines and their variations shall inherit the earth!
I’m reminded of one of my favorite lunches at work. There used to be nacho cheese spread in a plastic tube. It looked like a sausage, with a cap in the middle of the tube. Many’s the time I would put my feet up and make little cracker sandwiches and do my cryptic crosswords.
