Then I went and told everyone I knew, so I could share the pain. One bloke didn’t seem too bothered, so I beat him to death with a brick. Obviously he was either a kiddy fiddler or a nonce loving bastard. Well, he was a bit tubby and wore glasses so he could have been. Those scum deserve to die!
After that, I posted the story to Digg and MetaFilter and every other website I could think of so I could wallow in vicarious outrage and berate people for not caring as much as I do. The pervert-loving bastards.

I guess I should speak up here. I was possibly the first person to read your thread(at least when I went back to the pit main page the views said “1”) and I didn’t post in it. Here’s the deal. In situations like this, a negative reaction from a normal person is a foregone conclusion. So I didn’t feel the urge to post an entirely predictable, and therefore redundant, reaction.
If I had posted, I probably would have said something along the lines of, “I’m glad to see the police are getting on top of things like this. Technology has been enabling networks to sprout like this around the globe and I’m glad the cops are adjusting and increasing cooperative stings. Although your exposure to these kinds of acts is probably higher today than it would be any other time in history, the danger to you, and any of your hypothetical children, is probably less(in most parts of the globe) than it has been in the past. I wouldn’t let this deter me from being a parent if I were you.”
I probably wouldn’t have said anything about the guy who ran the operation, or his clients. These things happen. I’m not sure we’ll ever be able to eliminate them without either a massive degradation of freedom or a mass evolution of humanity.
