The I Didn't See One So I Started One MMP

BLURF
IRKING. As usual. Story of my life. I don’t want to be here.

sari, my grandmother gave me a birthstone ring a couple of years before she passed because we shared a birthmonth (and dang near a birthday: I was born a few hours before she turned 57). The last time I saw one cousin, she strongly hinted that I should give it to her, since she IS the oldest granddaughter. When I finished laughing, I simply said no.

ruble, each car mile is equvilent to seven bike miles, so you actually came in under the thirty mile trip. :stuck_out_tongue:

Good luck with the interview, guanolad!

The talk of dogs and ice cream reminds me to put Frosty Paws on the grocery list for Popo, Maxi and Frankie for when they get here next weekend. I’m their favorite auntie. :stuck_out_tongue:

Howdy from da cave! Another day of irk survived. Leftovers for dindin. I’m glad cause I am in no cook mode. Tomorrow I get taken to Sonny’s cause that’s what I want for my bday dindin.

I had a cocker spaniel (Jake, AKA BoBo, AKA The Mighty Jakeus) who would go berserk for Frosty Paws. Also, some of you may remember when I was JoeDawg’s nanny and would have him on a strict regime of couch time, chair time, mandatory treats and skritches because I am a big believer in discipline. Frosty Paws was always mandatory. I would insist he have Frosty Paws at least twice a day.

So, in about a week I’ll be moving nearly 100 miles away from home and taking my dream job at a new school. It will be me, RT, and the Bubster all on our own!

No big deal, really.

Laundry is done.

Good luck, sticky! : throws confetti with wild abandon :

Supper was yum - ham steak, corn muffins, cauliflower, and cantaloupe. Ice cream later. Chillage now.

I was going to see a movie tonight, but I’m so exhausted I can barely stay up long enough to do laundry. Also it’s entirely too hot. Hate summer. It can go now.

Cat, I agree with you! I am so ready for autumn. Except for the raking up the leaves part…

I think it’s time to log off now. MWAH!

Sticky, that sounds like the start of an awesome adventure!

I did nothing but sleep all day.

Tomorrow we go to the college.
We should have gone today. I don’t know how to deal with Sah-son’s shyness. He gets nauseated just at the thought of going there. He wants me to go with him but I can’t walk that far yet, I still get out of breath easily.
I try not to get pissed at him but somewhere, somehow he has got to start functioning in the world. He can’t hide out forever.
Now that we are out of the hell hole, and now that I have had my surgery and I don’t have to deal with that anymore,
time to work in his shyness and getting him out into the real world.
Good luck Sticky

Tomorrow I have been invited to a convent for prayers and lunch. As of about 12:10 EST I will be officially holier than thou all.

Except maybe Swampykins. He’s damn good at it.

By 12:15 there will be a few more names on that list. :frowning:

By 12:30, it’ll be all the mumpers except dogbutt, flytrap, & me. :o

That sounds waaaaay beyond shyness… is he seeing a doctor?

And so my job interview went very well. As suggested, my work spoke for itself, and they were quite taken by my skills and experience, so the hard part is covered. It’s now just down to them choosing the best candidate.

Thanks for everyone’s reassurance. It helped a lot. I even slept well.

For those curious, the company makes interactive safety videos, and they’re looking for a 3D CGI modeller. It’s similar to what I did at my last job, and as a hobby, so right smack dab in my wheelhouse.

In addition to the 2 1/2" of rain in the last 36 hours, the 10 second power burp managed to do something to the hot water for this building. The Property Mismanagment drones have been notified, and they said they would call the gas company, because they are too dumb to know how to reboot whatever went down.

I swear they could not find their way out of a paper bag if the opening was down…

Ooooh that’s neat! As a consumer of safety videos, I think that sounds super cool. A lot more than my vocabulary.

Glad to hear the interview went well, batboy - will be keeping appendages crossed for some good news to come your way!

I am at irk. It is irksome. Thus I has a blurf. Actually I don’t have that much to do at the moment, so I should keep quiet lest someone finds me something even more irksome to keep me busy.

I went to the gym last night. Today I ache. Such is life. I shall make up for it by going to the pub tonight instead.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 79 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 97 for the day and a heat index of between 107 and 112. ICK! So, natch, I must go travelin’ for irk. Matter of fact I need to be down in the southeast forty by eight this a. of m. So I need to be outta da cave no later than six-fifteen this mornin’. Oh and the weather PTB say rain/tstorms/apocalypse for late this afternoon into early evenin’. We shall see.

BatMan glad the interview went well. Appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed they’ll choose you.

StickyBuns sounds excitatin’! I’m sure RT, Bubbaschnoodle and you will be happy.

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack irk purtification must commence. Le sigh. At least I can look forward to dindin at Sonny’s.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Happy birthday, Swampy!

HAPPY HAPPY SWAMPY DAY!!!

Congrats for living another year, you old fart! We all know it’s not good clean living, so you must be excessively lucky! :stuck_out_tongue:

Hugs and all that mushy stuff! MWAH!!!

Meanwhile, it’s laundry day in paradise. Hot and sunny make for good drying. Dunno what else I’ll attempt. Don’t care - it’s too early.

Happy Wednesday!
