IIRC only the $5 and $10 have lawyers on them, but it doesn’t matter. jfranchi, the reason we need lawyers is because (a) real life is complicated, and (b) disagreements happen. Contractual provisions can be so intricate that the best person to write a contract is often a lawyer–that’s the complicated part. And when people disagree on whether a contract is being fulfilled, a lawyer is the person best trained for sorting out the differences and negotiating, or litigating as appropriate. That’s the dispute part. And that’s without even considering the criminal arena.

Whoops, I stand corrected. Andrew Jackson was also a lawyer, though according to Wikipedia he actually read very little law. However that sufficed for frontier law, in a time and place where most people probably couldnt’ read at all.
