The "I wonder what ever happened to..." MMP

Exactly. They were little girl dolls, not sexy adolescent dolls. They were cute, now they’re creepy.

I have to work Christmas Day, but I have it on good authority I’m only working 2 hours. I will make it to the SpazFam Christmas this year! Woot!

I finished my Christmas shopping today, too. What I did not do was go to Former Night Audit Guy’s memorial service, but that’s because Detailed AGM wasn’t able to go (he knew F.N.A.G. a lot longer than I did). I did see the memorial service on the balcony of one of the penthouses at Hotel Fugly Exterior. There was a mighty “woo-hoo” as I crossed the street. :dubious: That did not seem appropriate for a memorial service, but who am I to judge?

Happy birthday, Taxi!

And Happy Birthday Taxi!

Lots of hugs and good thoughts heading out to Dotty well in advance of the 3rd.

Haven’t decided exactly what we’re having for Christmas dinner. Should ask little brother what he wants to eat. Mashed potatoes, cranberries and yams are likely on the menu, but with what else?

Need to get to Kohl’s to get a couple more items for Mom. Her box is going UPS overnight first thing tomorrow. (Most reliable way to get stuff from here to Mexico City.)

Have delivered Christmas cards to the post office, which kindly changed its last pick-up so that they won’t go out till tomorrow. Good thing the Christmas season lasts till January 6.

Back later, possibly.

Still don’t believe they’ve updated Rainbow Brite or Strawberry Shortcake.

Happy birthday, taxi!

Mr. Lissar just got called to go visit an old friend in from Taiwan, Attacks Husband is behind me talking to QD, and I should clean up from dinner and tidy, and then collapse. First hot cider, then collapse.

Yay on the kiddo coming home, Bobbio!

I’m home at last. Need to figure out the dinner thing. I have the rest of the week off, so now I can really concentrate on getting ready for Christmas.

My son had a job interview today. He said it went very well. He may hear something tomorrow, or it may be the day after Christmas. I hope he gets the job. He hasn’t had any hours from Sonic for the sixth week in a row. That’s just ridiculous.

Guess I’ll cruise the net for a bit and then do the dinner thing.

Glad your son’s interview went so well, Taters. I’ll keep fingers crossed for him.

LiLi, I first read that as “Mr. Lissar just got called to visit an old friend in Taiwan.”
Needless to say, I went   for a second.

I’m back from Kohl’s where I bought 3 turtlenecks (on sale for $15 each, down to almost $10 because I had a 30% off coupon). I bought one the other day and already wore it and really liked it. So I bought one for mom and two more for me (in additional purdy colors).

Now I need to put together Mom’s Christmas package so that I can drop it off first thing.

But I’d really like to take a nap first…

What to do? What to do?

GT

Wheeeeee!

The 6 Ho Ho Cakes, 3 Caramel Apple Pies, and assorted cookies are done, boxed, and ready to be delivered in the morning.

Wait! You haven’t asked for my address to send it to!

especially for fans of ST:TOS

Mumsy Dearest has arrived, and is now happily ensconced in the guest bedroom.

Yay.

That’s my cue to get to bed, because I’m predicting the next few days will be rather exhausting.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN

I did go to bed early, as in seven last night. I didn’t even wake up all night, so yay.

Ok, guess I need to forage as rumbly tummy is gettin’ demandin’.

Happy Wednesday Y’all!

Wednesday? It’s virtual Firday!

:cool::smiley:

Purtification, commutin’, and brekkification to commence immediately.

It’s Festivus! Still waiting for the VP visit, so there will be the Airing of Grievances, and possibly the Feats of Strength at work.

I worked 17 hours yesterday, so [rosie’s sig] to y’all.

:D:p

Nice try.

Well, for some reason I woke up early this morning so I’m using my time wisely by chatting with you all! Next up is dessert deliveries an then spending the day with me dad before more dessert deliveries in the afternoon. We’re going to do our Christmas Eve traditional mall run a day early this year. Normally we go to the earring place and I get a pair of earrings since I got my ears pierced on Christmas Eve about 27 years ago. But this year I’m not sure what the plan is since I’ve developed a pretty strong allergy to wearing any kind of pierced earrings. Oh well, I’m sure it will be good either way.

After that it’s off to TVLand to see my favorite person! (Yes, TVMan is my favorite person.) You see, Bubba is technically a dog so TVMan has the edge in this one. :stuck_out_tongue: Actually we had a little bit of a dog scare yesterday but everyone’s ok now. Normally all three pups stay in their crates until my grandparents come upstairs to take them out for a walk. Yesterday, however, Bubba was barking like crazy and so I had to take a break from working and take them outside. Well, we figured out what the problem was… Some lady had given my mom some questionable Christmas goodies. For some reason she was concerned about eating them so she had forgotten about them in her bag. The bag was laying on the couch and the pups found it and ate the goodies including the bag they were in and the plate (if there was one). All that was left was a little piece of plastic bag and the twist tie. Fortunately the only side effect was an extra trip outside to pee and a little bit of extra hyperactivity.

Happy Humpday and possible Firday to all! I am about to make my list for my Xmas dinner shopping. I just need to get desert and appetizer ingredients but I tend to get carried away with that. Hence the list.

taters, that is terrible about the two officers. We’ve had our share of that here in Flawduh and it’s not pretty. This bad economy is doing horrible stuff to people.

You’re not excited or anything about the young man coming to visit, are you bobbio?

doggio, that is just too much work. Will the airing of grievences help?

Guess I’ve procrastinated enough. Must. Start. List.

Tupug

OMG, Christmas Eve is nearly upon us!

Happy Wednesday all. I’m up, partially caffeinated (and getting ready to make some more coffee …). I gotta forage at my desk to see what I can find to eat for brekkie this morning. LOL Yes, I did have some yogurt earlier, but now I’m ready for more.

Blurf.

I really wish they’d let me work from home this week. It’s dead quiet at the office, and I’m having a hell of a time trying to stay motivated.

Oh well… King Tut followed by Chinese food with Mumsy and The Boy tonight. Should be fun.

Muppet, just so you know, your namesake song came up in the rotation on my MP3 player this morning.

Excellent. My plan to take over the world via massively hummable tunes is working.

Mwahahahahahahahahaha.

Happy virtual Firday, mumpers!

I have just got home from grocery shopping at the local supermarket. Who let the stupids out, and did I miss the memo that said we have to stock up for siege conditions?

Must admit I am very glad to be home again, now that I’ve shut the doors on the rest of the world. Tomorrow we are off to the butcher to collect the hexmas bird and then I’m going to hide behind the sofa until it’s all over. I predict a few days of lazing around, drinking cocktails and watching trashy films. Perfect!

But before that, I need to go and make some chilli for dinner and then we’re heading off to the pub for beerverages. Woohoo!
