If someone is killed during a bank robbery, the getaway driver – who remained in the car and never even entered the bank – can be charged with murder. In the current case, anyone who participated in the attack on Pretti should be charged.
Bovino knows who the murderers are because he says he restationed them for their own safety. The murderers are still working and presumably carrying firearms. Murder is a state offense so maybe even with the inevitable pardon they could be tried. I can dream.

I agree. They are not remotely comparable. Noem is very expendable/easily replaceable and Miller is not.
If anything ever happens to Miller then that would be noteworthy.
The union that Pretti belonged to is demanding Noem and Miller get fired.
Republicans are starting to ask for there to be a real investigation. I think they sense that this is going to cost them big time in the midterms if they don’t scramble to pretend that they were outraged at ICE all along.
My WAG… This is a search for scapegoats. Bovino now, likely Noem later. Maybe Miller but I think that’s too much to hope for. And then probably give up the people involved in the Good and Pretti murders, hold them up as bad apples, while trying to still keep ICE going (if maybe a bit quieter) to ensure their base that they are still trying to protect the country against “invaders”. Sacrifice a few liabilities in the midst of damage control.
This would greatly depress the morale of the worst ICE and CBP etc. goons. These are mostly cowards - and if they don’t think the powers that be have their backs, they’ll be less likely to behave terribly.
You know what would really motivate them to behave less terribly is to put a bunch of their fucking asses into prison.
Absolutely. The most I think we can hope for, though, is maybe the shooters in these cases. Maybe. And not the other people who enabled, supported, and covered for them.
Our senior Senator from Kansas is Jerry Moran. He’s a milquetoast, refusing to say anything controversial and voting GOP 100% of the time. Yesterday, however, he actually broke his silence and joined the Susan Collins Club of Concerned Senators. From his Facebook page:

It’s not much, but it’s something. Of course, he won’t actually DO anything, but it’s a small start.
