She was really my first SDMB friend.
This is such sad news. Despite all of her troubles, rosie always seemed to have such tenacity. It seems so wrong that she wasn’t able to weather this. 
Has anyone been able to confirm the Rosie news? Is it weird to cry for someone you’ve never met in person?

Wow… just wow. I thought she was getting better. So very, very sad…
All I can find on Facebook is what ITD said. Has anyone with Rosie phone number tried to call her? I would hope that someone wouldn’t post anything on social media that wasn’t absolutely true, but, well, it’s social media. I can hope. She was posting on FB yesterday…
I will check in here several times today, just to get the news.
I wanted to remind everyone that I leave tomorrow morning early for Hawai’i and make no promises for Internet all next week.

In more mundane news, de-leafage is done. Well, most of it. We declared it done, and that’s good enough. 
That sucks. That really, really sucks. It’s serious suckage.
I met Rosie several years ago when she was in Philly for a Sweet Adelines thing. Since then, we got close here and on Facebook.

Sad Saturday
So sorry to hear about Rosie, I thought she was getting better.
This is such a shock.
I thought about her cat too Flytrap. I hope somebody who was close to her will take care of Smokey.
I have to leave for the grocery store soon.
Then it’s on to doing laundry.
De-leafing won’t happen around here until school is over.
If I didn’t know better I’d think my cat is smoking crack. He tried to use my leg as a scratching post this morning.
Just saw Rosie’s FB page and came straight here. I’m shocked and heartbroken as I imagine everyone else is as well. I will miss her so much.
If no one else is willing to look after Smokey, we are willing to take him in. (IIRC, it’s a him.)
There’s a part of me that refuses to believe the news. Alas, I know it’s true now. Goodbye rosie you made our hearts a little bit gladder bein’ here and you make our hearts a whole lot sadder by leavin’ us.
He wants you to pick him up and/or scratch him. Think of it as a kid tugging on your pant leg or skirt. He’s trying to get you to pay attention to him way down there on the floor.
