See it? No? Looks like the error was corrected, right? Maybe? No? Maybe you don’t see the error at all. Or maybe you do.
That’s because the error appears when viewing the whole thread on my PC, in Edge or Chrome, however, the error is corrected when (a) looking at single-post view, or (b), on my mobile phone. And, I bet, Beckdawreck is using a PC.
Here is a screenshot of what I see when looking at the thread on my PC – exactly that which is described “That’sredible”, followed by the quote (with misspelling intact) and apology for flubbing the correction:
However, this is what I see on my phone - the word is spelled correctly in both the original post and the quote:
And, as noted, when I look at the two posts in “single post” view (as linked), the corrections are made. But when I look at the entire thread, the word “incredible” does appear, only to immediately re-render as “redible”
I was confused by the non-correction when it first appeared, because to me (on a PC using Chrome) I only ever saw “incredible” spelled out in full, just like in your phone screenshot.
My Daddy always said if I played with a steel ball I’d find a way to break it. He’s the one who nicknamed me Boo-boo( no honey, plz) which morphed into a little diddy he’d sing about “Beck the wreck from Georgia Tech she fell down and broke her neck”, quite humiliating. I was quite the klutz. He put me in ballet when I fell off a curb and needed several stitches. I was able to dance and went to college dancing. But outside of that I was still a wrecked up klutz. So goes the saga of my life.
I find the irony of your life as a klutzy dancer… incredible
Couldn’t your dad have just taught you not to fall off of curbs, or not to klutz into stuff? Or are there simply too many situations? I’m not gonna pretend to be grace incarnate here mmkay, I’m just curious.
Irony is my middle name. Yes, there were too many incidences to count. I was always getting sewn up or casted up. I’m sure my parents tried to teach it out of me. I could get hurt in a padded room.
Dancing did help some. I wanted to dance in our performances so I tried to be more careful. I possibly would’ve grown out of it anyway, I guess.
As long as we’re in a thread talkin’ ‘bout spelling mistakes…
It’s called a “ditty”, not diddy.
And keep on postin’ , Becky. You make my work day go better.
It was my Daddy’s diddy. Actually ‘Diddy’ is what his grandkids all called him. He was supposed to be GrandDaddy. But the oldest grandchild couldn’t say it. But, yeah you’re correct a little song is a ‘ditty’.
Also if you view the thread in Sultantheme with the window focused on post 105 and refresh the page it loads up “That’s incredible” for a fraction of a second before switching to “thatscredible”
If you look at the spot in question (with sultanstheme) using ‘Inspect’ on Chrome, you see:
Egads! The sad thing is not only did he ruin his life he left quite a few peoples lives ruined in his wake. His parents, his pregnant girlfriends, their children, the dead passengers family and the boss at his job.That'sredible.
However, if you just view source, the ‘skimlinks’ bit is not there
