Some people have too much money and not enough brains.
My eyes! The goggles do nothing!
And in the image sequence at the left, in the image of the iPod with tiara and sceptre, they spelled ‘sceptre’ wrong. It should not have an O.
I like how they proclaim, “Each costume is handmade!” Below that is a picture of a mechanical sewing machine.
I can see making these things for yourself (there are all sorts of ipod cozy knitting patterns), but to pay someone else to make it? No thanks.
You guys. I swear. You’re taking food from the mouths of the children of people who work in the Nike factories in Viet-Nam. Nine years old, and already sewing iAttire. Who are we to rob them of their newly found careers???
Seriously? I finally bought a used one a few months ago. Why? Not because I thought it would turn me into a svelte bony-hipped man with dreadlocks and a career in jazz. I got it because there are SO many accessories for this brand of MP-3 player, that I put the travel package together that I’d wanted for years now. ( the RoadTrip, by Griffin Technologies ).
It’s not more snootie-patootie than most of the rest of the Apple line of products. Somewhere out there is the ad executive responsible for the upcoming campaign in Maxxum Magazine for the " iGasm " cerebral-cortex plug-in device.
Cartooniverse, or should I say, iTooniverse
You’ve got to admit - that bunny costume is really cute - it even has a cottontail
That’s still handmade. It just means not produced on an assembly line.
Might you be thinking of hand-sewn, which they didn’t claim? Machine sewn is still handmade if it’s not in a factory assembly line.
When the iPod goes the way of the Atari I am going to act all smug because I never had one.
People who feel the need to purchase one of these products ought to save their money and just hang big signs around their necks that read, “Please! KICK my ass!”

At first I thought they were just cute little costumes (awww, look a the bunny!), then I looked at the prices. $39.99 for a “ghost” costume. A glow in the dark cotton square with a plastic tombstone, forty bucks.
Cut the prices by about 75% or more and they can be cute again.
I can appreciate paying a living wage in CA to produce these. But you can also pay a living wage for polishing pennies, doesn’t mean I want to buy a roll of them for $20.
There’s a comedian out there who has a routine where he says, “when you die, before you get into heaven, you need to list for a kid from Ethiopia all of the things you bought off eBay.”
Now, I know this isn’t eBay but still, it made me think of that guy.
Yes, you got it. That’s exactly what I pictured in my head, someone with a needle and thread piecing the costume together. I have a hard time sewing a button back on my shirt (it always comes out crooked!), so I confess to some ignorance in regards to sewing.
You really and truly do not even know the half of it.
Link in and of itself safe for work. Your reaction may vary and you have been warned.

I don’t get it.
