so did lifetime with betty white …
Yes! One of my absolute favorite bits they did ever! It is always a toss-up between this and when Bam loads his dad’s work van with fireworks. I laugh so hard I cry.
Anyone see Jackass Forever? It’s streaming on Paramount Plus. If you’re a fan of the earlier ones, this one is just as good IMO. They added some new cast members - Zach Holmes really stood out to me, but they were all good.
Yes, here is what I said:
Can a funnier movie be released this year? No, not likely.
Is this the funniest Jackass movie? Absolutely.
This is an amazing part four of a movie. I was rolling around laughing several times during this movie. I haven’t laughed as hard at a movie in a long time. Is it immature? Of course. Is it hilarious? Oh, yes.
I 100% recommend Jackass 4 to people. It was….Outrageous. Hilarious. Shocking. Mind-blowing.
I can’t believe they came back for a fourth one and made it legit the best one. You HAVE to see this movie.
I just watched that one last night and laughed so hard. I’ve always found the films so funny, they are so stupid but damn it if I can’t stop laughing. Someone above mentioned the Three Stooges, but I have never liked them, those just seemed dumb without being funny. I think because that was acting dumb and with Jackass they’re actually doing the dumb stuff.
The one thing I disliked about the first films and/or the tv show was when they’d do stuff to random people, like the shit in the display toilet. That’s not funny because the object of the prank is the store owner/clerk who had to clean it up. That’s just being an asshole. I’m glad that they have moved away from stuff like that, all the pranks now are on people in their own group.
I totally agree - I don’t like the pranks on bystanders either. Just seems mean spirited - these folks didn’t ask for it, unlike the Jackass crew.
100%. They do stuff to themselves and laugh about it. It’s more fun that way.
Haven’t seen the new one. About the others, two pranks have been mentioned upthread that I don’t care for: the fireworks and the display toilet. Others are among the best I’ve seen, like the hand-written note left by some girls they’d been partying with the night before. The guys find it taped to a wall the next morning, and, as the writing gets smaller and smaller, they have to get very close to read it… I saw that just once about 10 years ago, and I still laugh out loud when I remember it.
Aw, come on, the Stooges were (often) brilliant. They have to be taken in context, like appreciating prewar blues.
There is a Jackass 4.5 coming by the way. So this isn’t the final movie in a sense.
“Is Butterbean ok?” That part killed me.
Jackass 4.5 is on Netflix right now. I kind of forgot, but it’s not really another movie as much as a behind the scenes and…well, some deleted footage.
I fully agree, at least so far, with the edit of Jackass Forever. Most of this footage is funny, but none of it equals what made it into the movie.
I thought the Poopies sledgehammer swing was about as succinct and perfect as Jackass gets. Similarly, the fat guy long jump contest also was as good as most of the main movie stunts.
That bouncy castle blowing up in the middle of the COVID safety meeting was pretty damn funny, I thought.
I can also see why Steve-O decided not to keep selling those condoms. That bit wasn’t exactly a great advertisement for them (though they were being put through more stress than intended, I reckon).
I know they are saying they are all done, but Jackass Forever was so good, I hope we get a fifth one in a decade or so.
Agreed, why introduce new members if they are just going to end the franchise?
Potential revival of the TV show without the main guys?
If you mean some of the skits they did in public to film the reactions of others I have to disagree. Kidnapping Brad Pitt off the street was brilliant.
I haven’t seen that one.
