Perhaps because in the Bush clan, loyalty trumps legality?
Apparently Jeb! is trying to sink his own campaign. Maybe it’s the only way he can get out without upsetting Dad and the family.
Like I said, flailing. He has no clue how to respond to questions so he reaches in his bag of assorted talking points and spurts one out, hoping it will resonate. Unfortunately for Bush, he spurted out the wrong one. What a doofus.
The above stated, I still cling to the belief that he will somehow be the nominee. I know, I know. Crazy.
Iowa’s going Carson, NH is going Trump, SC is probably going Trump as well. Rubio HAS to win or do very well in Florida but he’s the most likely of the sane candidates to make it the whole way. I think Jeb is done
The votes are still a few months away. Carson has plenty of time to implode, as does Trump. What I sense is that the sane faction is going to coalesce around Rubio and the insane faction is going to be split between Trump and Carson. I’m not seeing a path for Jeb but if Rubio missteps then Jeb is back in business. The others like Cruz, Paul, Fiorina, etc. are non-factors.
Tend to agree with you, but if Trump and Carson implode (which I think is likely), those voters are going somewhere, and I think Cruz is trying his damndest to position himself to be that alternative. He’s smart, ruthless, and (IMHO) amoral when it comes to elections and that does worry me a bit.
But like Onomatopoeia, I still can’t help that once the smoke clears we’ll get Jeb Bush…crazy, but we’ll see where we’re at come April Fool’s day.
Both George Bush-41 and George Bush-43 were rather charismatic, I thought. I find Jeb! just the opposite, perhaps the dullest of all the candidates. Is it just me?
You think “I would kill for my dad” is a talking point he accidentally selected? That’s a little strange.
Oh dear - does he have the same complex as Dubya, needing to prove his manliness to his war-hero father?
can’t even get “jebcanfixit.com” right. Jeb doesn’t really wanna be prez, I’m more convinced.
Someone on another board (see footnote) said that “Jeb Can Fix It” sounds like a character from the movie “Wreck-It Ralph”, and freelance journalist and occasional Ebola survivor Ashoka Mukpo said on Twitter that this sounds like an A&E reality show about people who fix hovercraft used by Florida alligator hunters.
Footnote: Some of us on that other board refer to Jeb as “Juan Arbustos”, which is “John Bush” in Spanish.
I think he reached for something… anything that would show decisiveness and strength, even if it is a non sequitur.
Bush plummets in new national poll. Support now at 4%, down from 10% in September. Also, net favorability is at -33. Which means its extremely unlikely he’ll be able to pick up new supporters from other candidates’ columns. Dude is toast.
He’s going to have trouble qualifying for the next debate. If they have one.
That was me. same Board, different forum.

That too. This is an entirely different website.
