A prison slang term I learned recently (from a book! honest!) is “spoon”, for someone who’s always stirring things up. Sort of “troll lite”. I haven’t looked at this Jim B’s posts (have enough tsuris already, thank you very much) but that might apply if he’s not full-on trolling.

I get an Uncanny Valley sense to the pittee’s posts, and have for years. I’ve tried to give him sensible advice on medical topics he’s raised but never seem to get a sense that I’ve reached him in any meaningful way. As a result I tend to disregard his postings, though sometimes I still get drawn in.
I always get a Kurt Vonnegut vibe from his posts.
