The joys of a solid-color state: no political ads! Same for you?

Re: ad escalation. I’m waiting for one candidate (in any race) to accuse the other or raping puppies, about the only thing remaining.

Brian

Columbus, OH. These ads are going to drive me nuts. I only watch broadcast tv for sporting events and yesterday I just about went stark raving mad.

Cincinnati, OH. A highly contested state.

I have the news on right now, and I don’t think I’ve seen any commercials that WEREN’T political. I can deal with the ads, though- I don’t watch that much TV anyway. What I can’t stand one more of is the phone calls. I get a call probably once or twice a day from one side or another. My new strategy is telling everyone who calls that I’m definitely voting for Nader, then hanging up.

At least the candidates visit us. I’m hoping to see Kerry tomorrow night. Silly as it is, I’d really like to shake the hand of a (maybe) President…

Two more weeks, I can cast my vote, cross my fingers for my candidate to win, and not have to see any more campaign ads for a good long while.
