So far I have not seen any TV ad for the presidential race other than the RFK Jr Super Bowl ad. I live in a solid blue state so I suppose that’s not surprising.
Other than the national RFK Jr Super Bowl ad have you seen any ads for the presidential race?

I’m stuck at home for a bit so I got myself a Hulu subscription with ads. Also see ads on cable with my mom. I see a ton of senate ads here in Ohio but no president ads.
I hardly ever watch network TV except for a little bit of recorded sports and I almost always FF through ads as such. Also, I’m in CA. So not really on television. However I do have occasion to watch Youtube on machines without ad-blockers and I’ve gotten a lot of no-doubt algorithm-targeted and irritating Biden-shilling-for-money ads which I skip through in 5 seconds. Just lately Obama has joined in the shilling ads and, weirdly, these annoy me slightly less . I think it is Biden’s open of “listen I’ll just cut the malarkey…” which instantly made my eyes roll and reach for the skip button.
I live in Michigan and dont really watch much broadcast TV anymore, so I havent seen any “live” ads. I may have seen some on YouTube feeds but I skip past them for the most part. I do get a barrage of text messages every fucking day
So I live in Indiana, which isn’t changing from red anytime soon - I haven’t seen any ads. But I was just on vacation in Georgia last week, and the TVs I saw had them on non-stop (nearly all Trump ads, since it was the RNC).
We don’t watch tv at home. I’ll watch football (soccer) at a brewery we visit, but when it goes to a commercial all eyes leave the tv and we talk to each other.
The only thing that comes close to ads that I’ve seen are the Trump flags that some people are flying in their yards. Of course I’m also someone that “cut the cord” a few years ago, so the only regular TV I watch is in the background while I’m at work (I work at several nursing homes). Typically those are things like The Price is Right, Friends reruns, Law & Order reruns, and daytime soap operas in Spanish or English. Here in Texas there aren’t any political ads running on those.
I have seen a couple down-ticket ads for Michigan Repubs running for Congress. One, by Sandy Pensler, was claiming Biden was giving cash cards to illegals
Another, by some guy whose name I don’t remember, kept running ads featuring trump heartily endorsing him at some rally
Since I get NYC stations I was bombarded with ads for the George Santos special election. There were also a bunch of ads for the Trump backed Senate candidate in the primary. She lost.
As we get close to the election I suspect I will see a few ads for President but not like some of the country. Both sides know this area isn’t up for grabs. There will be a ton of local ads.
I live in Florida and I’ve seen a couple anti-Project 2025 ads, with Biden at the end saying he approves this message. I guess they’ll have to get some Kamala ones. No idea what channel that was on.
I don’t watch TV, so the only ads I see, at all, are billboards and online. The only political ad I’ve seen so far this cycle is an anti-Project 2025 ad.
With the cord-cutting trend, I keep waiting for a successful campaign to prove that TV advertising is an inefficient use of resources and win by redirecting those fund to the ground game. But it looks like this year’s spend (projected to be $12 billion+) will likely blow the 2020 record ($10B) out of the water.
I live in solid red Tennessee, about halfway between Chattanooga and Nashville. I get local TV from both cities. Chattanooga is right on the border with Georgia, so we get presidential ads out of Chattanooga aimed at Georgia voters.
No presidential ads out of Nashville - that would be a waste of money!
I’m in California, and ads for President, Senate, and even Governor - from both major parties - tend to be few and far-between. Nothing new about this; I remember the 2004 Senate race where the Republican candidate didn’t even accept free advertising time from San Francisco’s PBS station. I think both sides have figured out that the money needs to be spent in battlegrounds.
The only presidential ads I’ve been seeing are on Facebook (Biden, then Harris) and in my spam email folder (ostensibly Trump, more likely parties grifting on his name).
