The last act of kindness for a true friend

Oh my. ::hugs::

Just wanted to say how good you were to share your kitty’s life with us. And let me just warn you about going to shelters with no intention of getting another fur baby right away…you can’t replace Vira but you can prevent your house from seeming like the emptiest place in town and if you aren’t careful (as I know from experience) one of them will choose you. If that does happen, let it happen. Every cat is different but life with no cats is too terrible to imagine.

We’re going to avoid those places for now. We want to spend a month in Paris in the fall, so new pets don’t fit into the picture until after that.

I’m sorry for your loss, Chefguy. It sounds like you, your wife and Vira were a perfect match for each other.

Pour one out for your homie. I’m convinced it’s the oldest human religious observance.

Miss my cat, and it’s been 22 years.

I’m very sorry. That was a great eulogy.

Joe

I’m so very sorry for your loss, she sounds like she will leave a big gap behind her.

I am so sorry for your loss. Hugs to you and your wife, and I’m giving all the fuzzbutts ear scritches in Vira’s honor.

Goddamn I need to stop reading these threads. I always end up a miserable, sobbing wreck, especially since I know that I’ll likely be writing one someday soon.

Beautiful eulogy, Chefguy, and I’m sorry for your loss. Vira was a wonderful, worldly kitty, and no cat will ever truly be like her.

Chefguy, I’m sorry for your loss.
