The last Infinity War Trailer

Don’t bother with Thor: The Dark World unless you’re a big fan of Tom Hiddleston. The interaction between Thor and Loki was great, but the rest of the film was meh.

I hope that Spider-Man and Ant Man aren’t necessary, because even though I’m interested in them, I just never got around to them.

That’s already obviously not the case from the very first preview which showed Thor adrift in space, hitting the windshield of the Guardians’ ship.

And the important parts of the movie are recapped in Thor 3, anyway, with Loki’s little vanity play.

That scene is likely at the beginning of Avengers. I thought he was talking about how the movie would end.

I have been really impressed with Marvel films over the last few years. I was getting rather bored of superhero films especially after the fairly average Avengers 2, but Marvel has knocked it out of the park since then and I have enjoyed Dr Strange, Thor:Ragnarok and Black Panther. And based on the trailers, Infinity Wars looks like a lot of fun, and also a big step forward for the grand narrative.

I do wonder how well the Russos will be able to handle the multiple plotlines and characters. IMO Whedon did a great job with the first Avengers film, not so great with the sequel and obviously Infinity War takes it to yet another level. Also what has impressed me a lot in recent Marvel films is the visual world creation with some truly stunning 3D environments like the mirror dimension, Asgard and Wakanda. I don’t know whether Infinity War will provide the opportunity to create something like that.

Still, bottom line: I am eagerly anticipating this.

I must have missed that trailer but who’s to say that’s the beginning of the movie?

Yeah,* Civil War *is basically Avengers 2.5. It features the entire team, with the exception of Thor and Hulk (who were off doing their thing in Ragnarok)

They really going out of their way to not show us Hawkeye aren’t they?

Y’all are simply too easy on your comics movies.

Not shocked; sci fi lovers tend to be too easy on sci fi movies/series, too.

But even for people like me who demand more, these Avengers movies are going to be very good, from the looks of it.
As for the villains, too many of the MCU villains have been complete yuck. Sometimes, that can be saved with a decent story line.

I was having 12% of a plan.

Everybody. There are shots of Thor with the Guardians, before they get to Earth. So, beginning of the movie.

I stand by my prediction that at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, at least half of the Avengers are dead.

Thor was flatting with Daryl in Sydney.

Tickets have just gone on sale, here in Australia.

Two tickets for 9pm showing, center front, yay!

You mean the one starring…

Luke Hemsworth, Sam Neill, and Matt Damon

You can get by with Captain America: Civil War. Although the other two films are pretty fun.

Marissa Tomei got a lot of shit for being “too young” to play Aunt May. But why would a teenage boy’s mom’s sister of be like 80 years old?

msmith537:

Not that this was true of any genuine version of Spider-Man and Aunt May, but it’s pretty common for someone to call his great-aunt (i.e., grandparent’s sister) simply “Aunt” whatever.

“Aunt” May doesn’t have to be the sibling of his mother/father. While that’s the origin story in the comics, she could be his “great-aunt” and still be called “Aunt May.” But, even if we accept that she was indeed his mother’s sister, why would she have to be “80” in order to look old? Amazingly, some people look quite “old” at 50. And if she was enough older than her sister, and Peter was born late in his mother’s life, why wouldn’t his Aunt May be an older woman?

Face it: they just did it that way for two reasons: 1. The lulz, and 2. To have a hot looking woman for Tony Stark to drool over.

I would also throw in the first Guardians movie so that you can pay attention more to the characters. I have a feeling they’re going to be prominent in the movie with Gamora and her sister’s (who’s name escapes me right now) prior knowledge of Thanos. Also I would assume Quill has a large role since he, Iron Man and Cap are the main planners of the bunch.

Not a great plan.

If you ever play a video game shooter like Call of Duty, Battlefield, etc one of the amusing things is that you can be shot multiple times and hide behind a wall to recover but, if someone walks up on you and jabs you with a knife, dagger, axe, etc it’s almost always a one-hit instant kill.

So, OBVIOUSLY, pointy things make better weapons than firearms.

I’m happy with Tomei for this Spider-Man. It’s a slightly fresher take and I don’t need Aunt May to be doddering around with a cup of tea dispensing gentle wisdom in every version.

Or maybe it’s just that Marissa Tomei is an excellent, Oscar-winning actress.

One thing I really liked from the trailer was how they depicted Peter’s Spider-sense–the hair on his arm standing up.

Sir T-Cups:

It’s barely a concept.
