Well, I was wrong!

I predict a close race in both Houses with Republican ekeing out narrow wins in both cases, thanks to very careful rigging of critical elections.

Just like the last two election cycles for Prez. Except it’s now critical in Congress. That’s why you’re not hearing much about Karl Rove right now, despite all the stuff that needs spinning. Rove is a very busy Bushite.

Now the forecast maps are turning bluer by the day. Now I’m thinking the Senate will wind up 51-49 in Democratic hands and the House could go as high as 235-200 in favor of the Dems.

This could be pretty close to being true. Not bad, if I do say so myself.

As a previous Considerate Poster parking space winner, I am sure he will be along shortly to acknowledge his unjustified estimation of Howard Dean, as well as make good on the $100 wager he made with me on the outcome of this election.

Yeah, Dean really did a “heckuva job”. His “50-state strategy” and powerful lefty bloggers will become a near permanent part of the political landscape now.

Dems might lose Jersey. I’m thinking 50-50 even, counting Lieberman on the Dem side is more likely. House? 230 is stretching it, I think. More like 225-227.

Provided nothing else explodes. It might. We got a few weeks left.

Well, stuff exploded, all right. My senate call seems accurate… but looks like I guessed low on the House. Jersey wasn’t as tight as it looked at the time, though, and I wasn’t even considering Montana. I did think Webb would win.
