We hardly ever get snow where I live - even if the whole country is at a standstill, we tend to get no more than an inch or two of useless slushy muck here on the south coast, between Portsmouth and Southampton.
So the kids have to make the best of what we DO get - the other day we awoke to a light sprinkling of snow, just enough to start covering the grass really, and it was starting to melt as soon as the sun was up, but my enterprising daughter still managed to make a snowman.
And here he is. Standing all of four inches tall - cute little fella, isn’t he?
That is completely adorable. I love the little blade of grass that is the mouth.
Oh, that is just too cute!
I’m still a bit surprised by the fact that I just moved to a place where we got a couple of inches of snow a few days ago, and yesterday we were having flurries. Snow TWICE in a winter! WTF??? Oh, yeah, I’m not in the South anymore. It could well snow again. AGAIN. Wow! Weird.
Also it gets cold. I don’t think it got above freezing today. Brrrrrrr! I like it, but it’s sort of odd to be cold – my definition of cold is mostly 40F and below – for more than a few days running. I haven’t lived anywhere like that since I was about six!
