The Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special

The comic was published way back in 1991. For those who aren’t familiar, the Easter bunny hires Lobo to kill Santa Claus. If you like sick, twisted humor, this was/is a must-read.

Turns out that in 2002, a film student did a 13-minute live action version of this, uh, “classic”.

A friend showed this to me (I have no idea where he got it). Surprisingly, the actor playing Lobo was perfect. There’s not a whole lot of violence (due to the paltry $2400 budget), but the basic idea is there.

I’ve always wanted to see a Lobo movie (based on The Last Czarnian mini-series), but I don’t think it’ll ever happen.

Killing Santa Claus!!! That’s a pretty big career change after “Me And You And A Dog Named Boo”…

So is the life of a 70s pop star.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, but Lobo is a DC Comics character. A stupid one, nonetheless, but insanely popular throughout the 1990s when violent, dumb comics were all the rage.

I was joshin’ ya.
