When you stop to think about it, the Forces of Darkness really have it in for our favorite Saint. He’s had to face some real opposition over the years. How many can you think of?
-The Grinch of course.
-The Sea Hag (King Features 1961 animated series): kidknapped Santa, held him prisoner, was going to destroy all the toys in his sack until Popeye saved the day.
-Burgermeister Meisterburger (Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town): tried to ban toys from his realm, delcared Kris Kringle an outlaw.
Bun Bun - and he did kill the Easter bunny IIRC.
Is it Voldar in Santa Claus Conquers the Martians that tries to kill him?
Saddam Hussein’s guards DO kill Santa in the South Park episode “Red Sleigh Down”. But Jesus comes by and resurrects him.
In **The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe ** the Wicked Witch has successfully managed to prevent Father Christmas from visiting Narania for many years. His arrival is one sign that her power is on the wane.

Since Bun Bun has already been covered (good show, fellow Sluggites!), I’ll submit Daolon Wong. In a Christmas episode of Jackie Chan Adventures (“A Jolly J-Team Xmas”), he kidnapped the jolly old elf with the intent of of stealing and corrupting the vast amounts of good chi Santa possesses.
Santa also has an elvish analogue to a Secret Service detachment, which reminded me of the Black Ops Elves from Sluggy.
There’s the evil King Winterbolt in the sad Rudolph and Frosty’s Christmas in July.
Robot Santa in Futurama does his best to ruin every Xmas.
Would we count the Bumble from Rudolph or is he not evil, just misguided?
Multiple Santa from the animated Tick certainly tests the Tick’s Christmas spirit, but he may not be classifiable as having tried to destroy Christmas per se.
