Santa Claus has Conquered the Martians. He’s been killed and come back as Tim Allen. He’s fought Jesus. In the Harlan Ellison story Santa Claus vs. S.P.I.D.E.R. he’s a secret agent fighting an evil organization. He appeals to The Tick for help. He’s kidnapped by monster kids and held by Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas. He’s “Saved Christmas” numerous times, most recently as Kurt Russell*

His adventures were written up by L. Frank Baum (The Wizard himself), and were turned into another of those Rank and Base TV shows (and a surprising number of other versions). tolien wrote his doings in The Father Christmas Letters, and Mark Twain wrote letters from him as “The Man in the Moon” (an identification I had been unaware of).

He’s the leader of the Guardians, he was put on trial in the various versions of Miracle on 34th street . He’s had the annoying relative Fred. There’s a whole Wikipedia entry devoted to him in films ( Santa Claus in film - Wikipedia )

What else has Santa done lately? Or ever?

*I expect his gifts to turn into rapidly-expanding blue blobs as soon as Santa gets back to his Ego home base.

Well, in the current movie Fatman, he’s a gun-toting Santa on the run from an assassin hired by a 12-year old 'cause the kid got coal in his stocking. Santa’s played by Mel Gibson.

He also kissed Mommy (or, in some cases, Daddy).

He’s fought and defeated both Heat Miser and Snow Miser.

Have you seen the movie cause that’s not really what happens. At least Santa’s not on the run, but he does get ambushed. And Santa does get shot too.

It was a fun little movie for what it was supposed to do.

Santa (played by Art Carney) nearly got wiped out by some oil company blasting too close to his workshop.

But Art Carney was the Department Store Santa-turned-Real-Santa in the Twilight Zone episode “Night of the Meek”

it aired two days before Christmas in 1960

In the movie Santa’s Slay, Santa is actually a demon who lost a bet with an angel and had to be nice and give toys to children for a thousand years. But time’s up…
