Pretty much why I think its the perfect time to bring Brakebills back to the fore and with new characters being brought onboard as the season progresses. I love the show and the current characters, but sooner or later its going to jump the shark and become a parody. Either end it or reboot it.

[spoiler]I don’t think Julia is a ‘mortal with magic’ - I think she made her choice and got what she wanted - which is her godhood back. It took time for her to actually make the choice that that is what she wanted.
I recall an episode where someone lied about a pregnancy test - said it was false when it was positive - the other person who was originally distraught over what she wanted was more distraught that it was negative - and the other person said “well, now you know what you really want” or something to that affect - so penny didn’t choose mortal - penny somehow chose ‘let her choose’ and she finally did.[/spoiler]
agree with you overall - they need to make next season a little easier to follow - way to many threads all over the place to keep up with. It did finally pay off wonderfully tho.
