Karl “The Mailman” Malone is announcing his retirement from the NBA.
How many members of the original Dream Team are now left in the NBA? Christian Laettner? Scottie Pippen? Is that it?
On the one hand, that makes me sad. The Mailman used to be my hero…and of course, he used to be the bane of my existance. How many times did he let a game slip through his fingers? I wonder if he could hear my wails of pain all the way in Salt Lake.
I wish he had a ring. Him and Stockton both.
Scottie hasn’t played a game in the NBA for over a year now. I’m not sure if he announced his official retirement or not. So, Laettner’s the only one left.
