I’m sure all republicans are not like that. You can’t just go by the fringe that Fox caters to or the zealots on internet message boards.
I’ve heard a friend make the point that if Clinton can get a BJ in the WH and survive lying why can’t Cain survive accusations without real evidence.
A valid point, except that running for office is not the same as being in office during a boom economy, and sexual harassment is not the same as a consensual affair. He’d like to give Cain the benefit of the doubt , while I tend to judge his handling of this as an indication that he’s probably guilty.

Seems to me that there are a lot of so-called conservatives so weak in their convictions that they just can’t help violating them when the opportunity arises to tit-for-tat a liberal. You’d think you guys would bootstrap yourselves onto that moral high ground y’all were claiming from 2000-2008.
Maybe that’s why y’all seem to think homosexuality is contagious.

I don’t see Cain’s campaign surviving this story. It’s not the harassment, which seems to be true, it’s his handling of it- from “It never happened” to “I’m a victim” to “I only said/did this”, and now “I might remember more later.” He’s thoroughly tainted with ick factor now and his supporters will dwindle to Palin sized soon enough.
How long before some women who actually took him up on his ‘offers’ show up?

So never in your life have you ever typed “there” when you meant “their,” “too” when you meant “to,” “your” when you meant “you’re” or “tow the line” when you meant “toe the line.” And you think making a big fuss when you point out a similarly trivial error in someone else’s post is somehow the same thing as addressing the remarks he’s made.
