Hmm. It seems to me that in the past they didn’t ask anywhere near as many ‘positional’ questions. You know, like, when we shared a glass of wine after the whatever challenge, counting clockwise from me, what position was the mole in?

This episode, nearly every question was specific to an individual. They asked, “Did the Mole go back into the park to recount tiles?”

This is directly connected to Nicole. Usually, they ask about groups, such as, “Which group was the Mole in?”

I think the quiz is forcing the players to commit at this point. I’d guess that almost everyone has solved it and it is coming down to memory ability.

I think it’s Paul. He could stand up and announce that he was the Mole a thousand times, and everyone would simply blow him off because it’s just Paul bragging again. He can disrupt everything, and it’s either his lousy personality (which to a great extent I think it is), his stupidity (although he occasionally displays a certain shrewdness) or Paul’s “cunning plan” to win.

I came to this conclusion last week, but after this week’s episode, I became more convinced. How could he totally misread the directions like that? How is it that he didn’t know anything about his own wife? (But apparently his desire to see his own family won out - I can’t blame him a bit.)

I don’t particularly think Paul is smart enough to be in this game at this point unless he’s the mole. But I’ll be disappointed if it is him because he’s such an ass.

Yeah, I hope Paul is just a loser, not the winner or the Mole.

I really consider the Mole to be a form of winner. I know I would have accepted the job if offered in 2001. It would be a definite pay check and a guarantee to be on the show the whole run.

If you think I was happy about coming to the belief that Paul was the Mole, think again. I hate that little SOB, and I agree that in some sense the Mole is a winner. But I’m inclined to agree with LavenderBlue, only even more so. I don’t think he’d have made it on to the show unless they’d decided to make him the Mole.
