This photo is perhaps the most horrific, repulsive and disgusting thing I’ve ever seen - and I’ve watched episodes of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
I’ve spoilered the link, for extreme gross-out factor:
[spoiler]Okay, it’s not gory, but no less gruesome for that. The photo, of Donald Trump and Nigel Farage in their moment of triumph, will live in infamy for as long as humans walk the Earth - so probably just a few years.
Seen it, anyway, and the photo I linked to is more vile and hideous by a factor of infinity - only one of those photos is going to cause me to wake up screaming in the night and reaching for an airline vomit bag, pulled from a 747 industrial-sized pack that I’ll have bought from eBay.
Yes. Your outrage at the results of the election burns with the fury of a thousand suns. Your perspective is truly unique and could never have fit into one of the other eleventy billion threads whining about it. You’re a special fucking snowflake. Good job.
Actually, what drives me potty, and I have no idea why, are the hand gestures Trump uses incessantly. The thumbs-up in the linked photo somehow gives one the impression that he is signaling, “Hah, suckers, just got away with another one”. And even get me started on that weird ‘OK’ gesture he uses when he’s speechifying.
The Ripper victims are some of the first murder victims whose in situ bodies, and autopsies were documented with photographs.
Mary Jane Kelly was horribly mutilated in ways that would have made Ed Gein vomit. The extant photo of her body in situ is something no horror director has yet dreamed up. Even movies about Jack the Ripper-- even recent ones-- don’t capture the full horror or gore of that photo. Even rotten . com, with it’s photos of bodies torn apart by cars or cut up by trains, don’t touch it. It’s saving grace is that the resolution isn’t that good.
Seems you think you’re the special snowflake. Guy makes a joke. You didn’t find it funny. And apparently that’s such a horrible crime that you attack him as being some contemptible person. The world doesn’t revolve around you.
Frankly, it seems everyone who uses that phrase thinks way too highly of themselves. Yeah, probably even me.
Yeah, he was being a bit fascistic regarding which posters could or could not start new threads.
I do think that photo is, whichever side of the political fence one is on, arguably the most historically notable of, ooh, at least the last fifteen years and, depending how bad things get from here, of all time.
