The most unintentionally funny site ever!

I, for one, was moved :wally

Oh, yeah, the site. Here you go.

(Apologies if someone beat me to this).

Hmmm, I swear the link worked. I checked it before posting.

OK, try this and then enter and listen/watch the national anthem. Worth it.

Sorry, I should say that it’s on the “Friendship” page.

I can’t find it?

That is one gawdawful website.

Aha. It won’t open on my Firefox. Another good thing about Firefox.

Someone should hack it any slip in a “I’m soooo wone-wee” reference.

Maybe this will work:

Click here and then paste this* in your address bar.

  • right click on this first and copy the shortcut

It works for me. Maybe you can’t access it from the USA???

I don’t think you’re allowed to link to it directly. Click on “enter”, then “continue to main menu”, then “friendship” and “KFA hymn video”. It should work then.

And… man. I get what you mean. Wtf.

That’s some good stuff. Once you get into the song, it sounds not unlike something you’d hear in a Disney musical.

IMO, N. Korea in general is the “most unintentionally funny country ever”. Their website is just a reflection of that. When I was stationed in South Korea, we’d get their press releases all the time. Condeming the “American Imperialists” and the “South Korean puppet regime” and condeming the “nuclear war preperation exercises”. The releases were all stuff along those lines. They’re practically a parody of a dictatorship.

Hmmmm…needs more cowbell.

“Really explore the space of the room!”

By the way, when you finish the “brief” biography of Dear Leader Kim Jong II (and lament that there were only 160 pages to digest and relect on), you can take a few minutes to drink in the glorious story of Dear Leader Kim II Sung. Still, at a compact 2100 pages, I found it a bit superficial.

Somebody needs to write some nonsense phonetic English lyrics to this, the way they do with Japanese rock, then illustrate it in Flash. Viral city!

The links works fine for me, and I’m using Firefox. Maybe the CIA was busy setting up some spyware…

I’m just letting it loop in the background, and it’s pretty catchy. Maybe I’ll try to learn the lyrics…

I have a fever … and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL!

Isn’t that “Rio” by Duran Duran?

:: d&r ::

I don’t know why, but I have tears streaming down my face reading this post over … and over … and over again.

Compact 2100 pages … superficial…

All I can say is thankfully, I never remembered any songs that were taught by the bouncing ball method. Did ALW write the opening music for that?

North Korea National Anthem Lyrics

Let morning shine on the silver and gold of this land,

Three thousand leagues packed with natural wealth.

My beautiful fatherland.

The glory of a wise people

Brought up in a culture brilliant

With a history five millennia long.

Let us devote our bodies and minds

To supporting this Korea forever.

The firm will, bonded with truth,

Nest for the spirit of labour,

Embracing the atmosphere of Mount Paektu,

Will go forth to all the world.

The country established by the will of the people,

Breasting the raging waves with soaring strength.

Let us glorify forever this Korea,

Limitlessly rich and strong
