The Movie Game II

You can’t use sequels or you can’t use two films from the same serial?

Ossie Davis

Grumpy Old Men

I’ll call it the Steve Guttenberg rule. So you couldn’t have Police Academy --> Steve Guttenberg --> Police Academy 2. Once one of the Police Academy pieces is used then they’re all off the board. Ditto Alien, Terminator, etc. Now where it gets a little tricky, and this might be why you asked, would be the Star Trek movies. For those I’d (personally, but it’s up for debate) separate the original cast and the Next Generation series.
Aside: Ronincyberpunk, nice play with Ossie Davis. I didn’t realise that he’d passed away while shooting a new film until I read about his replacement this weekend. Another one of those people you recognize but most people can’t name.

Ann Margret

Tommy

Tina Turner

Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome…

Sort of. I was asking mostly because I had used Star Trek III earlier and that’s a sequel of a sequel but it was allowed so I just wanted clarification.

Mel Gibson

If the Star Trek: The Motion Picture or Wrath of Khan had been used then that wouldn’t have been okay. Ditto Mad Max or Road Warrior before Thunderdome above.

Braveheart

How fast can you run?
As fast as a leopard.
How fast are you going to run?
As fast as a leopard!
Gallipoli

Since Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome is a sequel (ahem), I’m gonna back up and take Tina Turner to …

Last Action Hero

Patrick McGoohan

Twickster, has any of the series been used? I thought it was okay to start in the middle of a series, just you can only use one of them. See discussion with Aesiron above. Perhaps I am mistaken.

A sequel is not per se ineligible. Have we used Mad Max or Road Warrior already? If not, then MMBT is legal.

:smack:

Never mind! [/emilylitella]

So… moving from the confusion over sequels, Patrick was in The Phantom

As was the original Buffy - Kristy Swanson
