Nice simulpost!
Heh, heh, heh…
Peter Cushing (like I don’t know where that’s going…
I racked my brain to avoid this, but unfortunately my brain contains only the most rudimentary of Peter Cushing data.
Star Wars (yeah, the first one, but I can’t bring myself to call it “A New Hope”)
Harrison Ford.

Waiting to Exhale
Loretta Devine
I notice that we’ve already sucked in many of the ‘usual suspects’, plus a couple of newer editions… wonderful!
I don’t have a response to Ms. Devine but did have a cinematic question, of sorts, and thought, “What better place to ask?” Okay, it’s more about a celebrity. After I got home tonight I was trolling through the HBO/Max/SHO/TMC part of the TV spectrum and watched the opening few scenes of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and I realised that I’m seriously infatuated with Kate Hudson. Now, as I mentioned just a bit early I am generally no fan of blondes, but I don’t have anything against them either. I’ve realised that I can watch any movie if she’s in it. Of course she’s literally young enough to be my daughter, if just so, but since it’s not likely that we’ll ever actually meet, this is not a real issue. Maybe a bit oogy, okay.
So, does anybody else find her utterly charming? Or is it just me?
Also, I noticed that she and Bebe Neuwirth (who I also find very attractive, but in a very different way), have a sort of facial resemblance. Ms. Neuwirth’s extremely fair complexion makes them look different, but their jawlines, nose, eyes, etc are somewhat similar.
Oooooh, do I. I think she’s absolutely gorgeous and a good actress (although I haven’t seen a lot of movies starring her). Have you seen Almost Famous? It’s like the movie was tailor-made for me: a story about classic rock and roll, starring Kate Hudson, whose alias is the title of a Beatles song. That’s three for three on my “Good Movie Elements” list.
I can’t speak for anyone else but in my case, it’s most assuredly you. Kate Hudson does absolutely nothing for me.
Of course, I tend to go for Asians, Latinas, Persians, and other similarly dark featured caucasians anyway. No offense to blondes but brunettes just do it for me.
Amos & Andrew
Let’s go with Samuel L Jackson .
Pulp Fiction
Ving Rhames
So do I, that’s what makes it so strange.
Nightwatch, that’s the first thing I saw her in. She was perfect as Penny Lane. And the young kid who played the young Cameron Crowe character was very good. I didn’t realise until I saw that DVD that Crowe was married to Nancy(?) Wilson.
