The Movie Game

Wow, I didn’t remember that Pam Grier was in that. Yowza!

Jackie Brown (I think that’s the name)

One of her first roles. I love her.

And I love **Robert Forster ** too.

So, is this the end of the line. I know exactly who Robert Forster is but I am drawing a total blank beyond Jackie Brown and some commercials for the Karen Cisco tv show (spin off of J. Lo’s Out of Sight). Little help here? Maureen? Nightwatch? Vogel? SVF? Anyone?
Hello? Is there anybody out there?..

Despite the nagging familiarity of this guy (I just watched Jackie Brown last week), I’m also clueless as to what else he is in.

I saw that you’d replied and I thought, “Bless Nightwatch Trailer for saving the team on this one.” Drat!

Hi, guys!

Robert Forster played the coach in Like Mike. (I’d like to thank my kids for forcing me to watch that.)

I saw a tape of that movie during a Purdue women’s basketball booster club trip, and thus know that it features Lil’ Bow Wow (who’s apparently just Bow Wow now).

Haven’t seen it yet but I heard that he is in Johnson Family Vacation .

And of course, “Johnson Family Vacation” stars Cedric the Entertainer.

One for the “disappointingly good” category…Barbershop.

Rented it hoping for a MST3K session, but instead it wasn’t half bad.

Funny movie.

Sean Patrick Harris was in that.

I assume you mean Sean Patrick Thomas, as opposed to Neil Patrick “Doogie Howser” Harris, who didn’t appear in Barbershop. Sean Patrick was in the cast of Cruel Intentions.

:smack: Yes, thanks, Sternvogel. Most of me is back from vacation. The brain not so much.

Selma Blair.

I wasn’t too thrilled with Teen Dangerous Liaisons. It took a lot away from the plot, and basically turned it into 90210 goes hard core. Very distressing.

Welcome back!

Let me be the first to say:

Hellboy

I’ve not seen the movie, but I have seen the trailers. And it’s obvious, even under all of that makeup, that

Ron Perlman

is in there. BTW, he’s one of those guys that deserves a lifetime achievement award from someone.

YAY! I get to mention one of my favorite movies (I am convinced I am the ONLY one who has ever seen this movie, with the exception of a couple of dopers).

The Last Supper

Jason Alexander

Great movie, btw.

Wow, I’d forgotten Alexander was in that. I loved that movie and was even thinking of the Rush Limbaughesque character that Perlman played in it when I said he should get a lifetime achievement award.

As for Mr. Alexander’s body of work, how about Jacob’s Ladder? I could never figure out exactly what that was supposed to be about, but it was creepy.

VERY creepy, and I got the distinct impression I should not have been watching it sober.

Danny Aiello was great. Underrated, as always.

Who played the chick he was living with? Not his blond wife, the other one. She was…good, but when she grew that snake tail, it definitely freaked me out.

I think that was Elizabeth Pena. Another greatly underappreciated actress.
I agree. Am another Danny Aiello fan here. One of my favorite movies, that he had a small supporting role in was The Professional .
