Brat.
Martin Mull
Are you calling *me * a brat? Me? I’m not disputing the claim; I’m just asking.
Fernwood Tonight*
*I’ve never really scene the Larry Sanders Show, but I kind of imagine it as a slightly higher budget version of this one.
Okay, not a film. How about
Ski Patrol?
Used to love Fernwood Tonight, even though I only understood about half the jokes. Aren’t they going to rerun them on that NickAtNite station? Larry Sanders was more of a behind-the-scenes type of thing, but very much in the same vein.
They used to play Fernwood 2Night a loooong time ago (late '90s/early '90s) on Nick at Night. Not sure about anything recent. If anything, I’d expect it to be on TV Land.
Martin Mull was in O.C. and Stiggs, directed by Robert Altman.
I’d already responded Ski Patrol for Martin Mull. Maybe I should have gone with something a little more upscale, although we are talking Martin Mull here. (He is a very good pointilist painter, IIRC)
You’re right, apparently I lost my mind there.
Ray Walston was in Ski Patrol.
The Happy Ho…
Okay, okay. Family game, never mind.
Um. Popeye
Have we done Robin Williams yet?
Mr. Hand was in The Happy Hooker? Wow.
As we approach the 1500 post mark for this thread, I’d just like to take this opportunity to point out those of us who apparently have too much freakin’ time on their hands:

Yaaaaay! I’m only #4!
Meanwhile, I languish back in seventh place. I suppose that could be a good or bad thing…
So…Robin Williams was used back in post #1221 (like it matters at this point :p) There’s a Popeye movie?
Seriously, you don’t remember it? How old are you anyway, child? If Robin Williams is taken then we can go with Shelly Duvall (whose popularity, along with Margot Kidder’s, I never fully understood – I’ll take skinny late 70s brunettes for $400 please, Alex).
According to IMDb, Popeye (1980) is indeed before my time. But now this is on my most-wanted list just because of the name.
Yes, one of the very first gay animated erotic classics.
Jesus Marimba, NT. 1980 is before your time?
Thank you so much. C’mere, lemme beat you with my cane.
Hmmmmmm…Shelly Duvall. She didn’t get on my nerves too much in Roxanne.
I’m thinking Roxanne? Roxanne? Ah, that Roxanne, as in Cyrano de Bergerac!!
So let’s eschew the obvious and go with Rick Rossovich.
Ooh, Navy SEALS!
Don’t sweat the petty stuff…
Bill Paxton.
Sleepless in Seattle*
