Here’s the lot of snapshots taken from the “main page” over the past two days. Roughly 2000 posts since this time of day two days ago. With 4000 to go it seems likely that that won’t happen before some time Monday, unless there’s a rush in the meantime.

Got a late start this morning. Does look like a sort of lull at this forum since I left last night. Maybe the Saturday-Sunday crowd has less Mundane stuff going on?
Anyway, looks like tomorrow could be a bit early, especially early in the day. Maybe evening to early Tuesday. Who knows?

No sense in my posting yet another guess for Monkey Mensch to keep tarck of. (and you are keeping track right?)
Anyway, couldn’t a moderator do something such as announce the momentous occassion in a separate thread saying who and when? After all, this is more than just a great SDMB moment - it is the high point of all civilization !!!
Does anybody know if there’s any way that vBulletin associates threads with posts? I see “threadid” and “postid” when I hover the mouse over various places, but nothing to suggest they are associated with each other. Yet, ther must be some way to know that threadX or postX goes with ForumY, right?
If we had that data we could backtrack once the rollover has happened and see which post in MPSIMS was number 1000000 for that forum.
Seems too easy a question not to have an answer, but then so many easy questions are that way. Oh, well…

I had dreams about this event last night, and had it that there was a mad rush underway and that if I slept much longer I would miss it. I guess I can go back to sleep with some assurance that won’t be any time soon.
