Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you are Susan Tedeschi fans. She was nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy this year, and I heard some of her songs recently. She has a blues/country/soul fee, and her voice is beautiful.
And fans out there? Her sonf “Angel from Montgomery” is wonderful, if anyone is interested in hearing her (I got her songs off of Napster - shame on me!)
I’ve not heard her version of “Angel,” but that’s a great song and indicates she might have good enough taste to listen to.
Dreamworks and I used to play her on our blues show in college all the time. Been meaning to pick her album up, as I haven’t listened to her since then, and as I recall she was cool beans. Anyone who puts Winnie the Pooh stickers on her guitar is doin’ somethin’ right.
I have a couple of her albums. I didn’t know she had even hit main stream. I heard Stevie Ray Vaughn talk about her one time and then never heard about her again until about 3 years ago. Glad somebody else has heard of her.
She showed up at a Phil Lesh and Friends show in Philly last November and did a great version of “Lovelight” with the band. WRNR (103.1 FM out of Annapolis, reaches Baltimore fine) has been playing her stuff for a couple of years now.
I have heard of her but have never heard any of her music, as far as I know. Would anyone care to recommend a specific CD to someone who will be checking her out for the first time?
“Just Won’t Burn” is the first one I picke up a couple of years ago. If you like blues, you’d probably enjoy it.
yep, I think she’s great… i saw her last year open for the Allman Brothers and this year im probably going to see her again on tour with BB King. she probably will be one of the top blues artists in the years to come.
