The Myron Cope Memorial Steelers March to the Super Bowl Thread

That was a heart breaker! Some good plays by the Colts, some good luck on their part, and a few bad plays on ours and we lost it. It was a good game overall, I have only a few complaints, but man, the steelers are killing me!

Oh well, I guess we are still #1 in our devision.

By half a game, and the Ravens are playing better every week.

Ravens have a tall order next week, though.

What makes you say that?

Wow! What an effort by Troy.

But I’m not convinced the ball didn’t hit the ground first. The officials were, so I guess that is all that counts.

A good start, eh?

A wasted start, but at least it ate a timeout and one of Norval’s challenges. That might come back to bite them later.

The conditions on the field favor Pittsburgh. Let’s see how they do.

The refs made up for it (and more) with that bad interference call.

Ben is holding the ball too long. Again.
…and they choke at the goal line. Great.

Denied for forth and one foot! Man, you guys are killin’ me.

Safety, bitches!

The defense is simply amazing.

The D is saving our butts! The O needs to start getting something going…

The offense isn’t playing badly. It really isn’t. But they can’t get it done at the right time, they can’t protect Ben, and Ben isn’t helping himself by holding the ball for as long as he is.

Our first two draft picks next year had better be on offensive linemen.

It’s a real shame that our defense’s outstanding performance this year is going to be nullified by the horrendous performance of our line.

…and Silverback comes through again!

The D is astounding. The offense got something going going into the half, so maybe coming back out they’ll have it together. At least the Steelers will receive.

D comes through again! Still 8-7.

Now if we Ben can march us down the field…

Pittsburgh is trying with all their might to lose this game. It’s frustrating watching the better team playing like this. They’re dominating and yet are up by one measly point.

Things are going too well so I’ll jinx it. This last drive, with the exception of the Cheeser’s holding penalty, has been magnificent. The Steelers need to put this in the end zone and close it out. A field goal will make it a 50-50 proposition. A touchdown puts it away.

Nantz and Simms were doing everything they could to jinx Reed, and typically for today, there was a damn holding penalty on the close-out non-touchdown.

Watch, here comes the pass interference on the Hail Mary…

Well, that was amazing…

Polamalu for the win!

Tell you the truth, though, I wanted to see the first ever 11-10 win after the TD was called back on the last drive. More’s the pity.

And now it’s back to 11-10!
