Roman 10:4 Christ is the end of the law so that there may be rightousness for everyone who believes.
Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are JUSTIFIED, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from thier eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things have passed away. †
This is fascinating, Roxy. Do you think you could type in the whole Bible for me?
“I should not take bribes and Minister Bal Bahadur KC should not do so either. But if clerks take a bribe of Rs 50-60 after a hard day’s work, it is not an issue.” ----Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, Current Prime Minister of Nepal
If, of course, there was evidence that Jesus of Nazareth were Christ, then it might be considered wise (though unnecessary) to believe that.
Since, however, the available evidence contradicts the claim that he was Christ, it is neither wise nor necessary to take that position.
“Kings die, and leave their crowns to their sons. Shmuel HaKatan took all the treasures in the world, and went away.”
I read that book, too. The plot holes are a bit distracting, but amusing. Like the one where Jesus was supposed to be from the same family as King David. The bible traces the linage all the way to Joseph, then skips over the little fact that Jesus is not related to his step-father by blood. Maybe they had another child and the desciples just followed the wrong one.
