The next "help me ID this movie" thread

At work we were talking about movies we’d seen as kids, such as “the very first theater movie” we’d seen, or the first Disney movie.

One person of my own age(I’m almost 61) mentioned a movie, but couldn’t remember the title. When the guy talked about it I also remembered something about what must have been the same film, but neither of us recalled the title.

The movie took place in Mexico. It was in color. A young boy has a bull he raised. It disappears, or is lost, that I don’t recall. Turns out it’s going to be used in a bullfight. The kid somehow gets in to see the Mexican president who gives the bull a “pardon” and kid and bull go off together.

Any guesses?

The Brave One (1956).

Good grief, four minutes. You gotta love the SDMB. Thank you Johnny L. A. !!!

It’s mentioned in the new film Trumbo.
