Ed Glosser, Trivial Psychic

Lumpy mentioned this scene above.

Here’s the link. It’s the strongest thing in the movie.

Hindsight is 20/20:

Walken should have yelled at Hartman The ice cream cone is gonna BREAK!

Fortune:

You will be fine, fine and fine, til you’re not…catastrophic.

I heard that on a commercial. So sorta like a fortune teller.

If I believe every ad, I surely have every disease all those drug companies are fear baiting me about. :scream:

I think I need a doctor’s appointment. Soon

“A wonderful day ahead! You will be surrounded by family and friends. Roger Moore will drop in for lunch, bringing Tony Curtis with him. In the afternoon a substantial cash sum will come your way. In the evening, Petula Clark will visit your home, accompanied by The Mike Sammes Singers. She will sing for you in your own living room. Before you go to bed, Peter Wyngarde will come and declare his undying love for you…”

“I foresee lottery winnings in your future!”

so you buy a $2.00 ticket and win … $5.00.

Fortune teller: “You will soon come into a tidy sum of money, and have the opportunity to take an extended vacation”.

“That sounds great-- I can’t wait”.

A couple weeks later…

“Here’s the insurance payout for your work injury. I hope your disability leave goes well”.

“Be alert for Dame Fortune visiting you soon.”

“She’ll have to knock; her daughter Miss Fortune busted the doorbell.”

“Pretty sure you won’t die, writhing in agony, in the next three… uh, two hours.”

“Medical science will eventually develop a treatment for your condition.”
