Don’t credit me with any of that. It was all deedeeknowit’s doing. All I did was mail it along with my package.
Which arrived today! Actually, I think it was delivered yesterday, but I finally got to check it out today. A cool shot glass (Vegas, baby!), some odds and ends including a keychain (I’m a collector), some rum to test the glass with, and a leather-wrapped hip flask! Now I need to go camping so I can test the flask (yeahyeah, I know I don’t need an excuse).
We’re moving this weekend and spent yesterday signing paperwork, hence my tardiness getting to my package. Mine is packaged and taped and labeled, I just need to get it to the post office. I’ll do that tomorrow AM if all goes well.

Package dropped off at the post office this morning. It’s now heading off to far away lands. Postmaster said it should be 3-5 days travel time.

Well I got called into work thus weekend so to make up for not shipping as promised I’ll get some more swag before sending it off…
It arrived last evening. The shot glasses have been baptized and were used to toast the plaque and what it stands for. It will reside in a place of honor when we finally get the sun room/tiki bar finished. Thank you!

I sent my package out on Friday. It’s got a big ocean to cross so it might take a little while. From past experience no more than a couple of weeks.
In the interests of full disclosure I had tell the post office person a porky pie about the contents, so if on the off chance it gets destroyed, I will absolutely make it good for my recipient. I’ve never had spirits pulled up in the last 4 or 5 times I’ve done this so fingers crossed.
On a related note, is it that hard to understand ABV? I had to argue with the postal worker that two bottles of beer* at 6% ABV does not add up to a total 12% ABV for the package. Relevant because there are restrictions on the ABV allowable by mail.
- This was the fib, it is not beer in the box, but I figured on an X-ray you can’t tell the difference.
